WhaleTalk#3 Feeling Lucky?

Welcome to a late edition of WhaleTalk, the reason being my trip to fabulous Las Vegas to see Beatles LOVE. Great show, but now to the main event.
There are two types of trainers in the games: the lucky and unlucky. The ones immune to confusion, and the ones that seem to like hitting themselves. The ones that have a box full of shiny legendaries they weren't going for, and those that have a box full of normal legendaries that were soft reset many times. By this point you already know who you are. I am clearly in the unlucky category, having never seen a shiny (Gyarados doesn't count), and tend to pick the version of a game that has the exclusives I don't want. But what is the point of this you may ask? To tell you that it can be changed. And when I say changed, I mean it can't, and it will haunt you for the rest of your trainer life. Don't bother going for that epic shiny starter. Don't bother trying to breed for a purpose. You are destined to fail, and it is guaranteed.
In other news, Pokémon X and Y news has finally almost come to us, and you can count on it being a review on everything we already know. And no, your precious Fennekin will not be Fire-Phychic because it supposedly used one in a trailer.
Now here's the pointless stinger for hose that are actually still reading. I recently bought Platinum. It's the first trip to Sinnoh since I lost Diamond so many years back in a deeply traumatizing experience (you will always be remembered Rayquaza). I can say with certainty that it is the best Pokémon game I've played in a while. Eat your heart out White 2.
Thanks to the maybe three people that read this, and hopefully the next installment won't be from this crappy phone.
