...and it is not going very well. First I bred six Cubone. Two were HA. Zero was shiny. Now I am trying to get a shiny Chespin instead. I think I have twenty hatched Chespin and 4 unhatched eggs. But I will not give up(probably not anyway)! If I get a shiny Chespin my shiny collection will increase to four pokes. The event Palkia, Gyarados from SS and an Amoonguss I found in the wild.

    Don't expect to get a Shiny in like 20 Eggs. Only if you're VERY lucky. Some people need to breed 500 Eggs to get a Shiny.... just saying.

    I've gone on Masuda Method hunts for 2,000+ eggs. Expecting to get a Shiny Cubone in six is straight up wishful thinking.

    Masuda method-ing takes FOREVER. I was aiming for a shiny Aipom in X, but gave up. I'm still working on hatching a shiny Feebas in Black 2 (250+ eggs so far)
    My quickest shiny from the Masuda Method (and it was just my first shiny ever, not including events and things like the SS Gyarados) was a shiny Misdreavus I plan to use on my team once PokeBank comes out. It hatched after 61 eggs.

    Do you even know the probability of getting a shiny with Masuda Method?

    Try breeding 100 or 200 times that amount, then we'll talk.

    I know all that. And I bred Cubones for HA not for shiny. I choose to use the japan Ditto to see if I could get a shiny too. I am newbie at this so I am not the worlds best breeder. @Zeb; @AmphiGamer; @Bubble Frog; @H-con;

    It has nothing to do with being the world's best breeder, I going for a Shiny Chespin because I'm a fan of the its red coloration but I've been at it for about 2,700+ eggs and going. It's not going to be a quick process most of the times, I was lucky to get one Shiny in about 150-170 eggs, if it was everyone would have shinies. But the benefit of having a good natured Shiny Chespin drives me to keep up my search. Plus I was largely indifferent to Shinies up until XY, but the graphics/battle scenes makes them look fantastic.

    I once tried the Masuda Method. After seven eggs I got bored and stopped.
