PSA Kids: Never leave your town unattended.
Here's what happens when you don't play Animal Crossing for a few days:
As you can expect
Since the villagers are lazy bums
There are weeds everywhere. (Oh and a bunch of dead flowers)
To put it in a few words: Destruction. Chaos. Mayhem. Since you singlehandedly take care of the town, when you're absent things will quickly fall to ruin. And this is what happens in only a few days. Imagine what happens after your gone for a few months, or even years. There is no pause button in Animal Crossing, so time will continue rolling on even without you being there.
While the villagers didn't seem to notice that I wasn't here, they can and will ask where the hell you've been if you've been gone for a long time. In previous AC games, some villagers would even count the months:
It makes for some interesting dialogue when you return, but the weed pickup is unbearable. Especially if you're like me, where even one weed is enough to drive you insane.
But this is the number one reason why you should try to check in every now and then: I just so happened to look down at my houses on the map to discover that there were now 8 houses in Tartarus, instead of the 9 from when Paula left. I knew what house was gone, but I checked my letters to confirm and sure enough:
Anchovy pulled a fast one.
Woooooow. My villagers are dropping out of here like flies. The really weird thing about this is how abrupt his leaving was. He never mentioned this before I left for awhile, but even then that was only a few days, surely enough to tell me. I remember Paula and Bettina telling me this more than a week in advance. This brought back memories of the original GC where villagers would just randomly leave without even telling you that it was happening. Just...poof! And you couldn't do anything about it. Oh man, Anchovy. I'm gonna pour one out for him. I don't even know when he left.
However, here's our next vilager candidate! I've never met a monkey before in this game (other than Porter), so this was a nice surprise. She seems nice, but her face gives me the creeps:
I don't know. I don't really want her.
Today in town, Lionel and Fang debate over food:
These two man...
No fortune today, but Super T & T is closing tomorrow for remodeling! Woohoo! This means the T & T and the Gardening Store are going to do the Fusion Dance and become one big department store. I can't wait!
Emotion of the Day: Thought
I have the power to make three black dots appear in a bubble above my head! Fantastic!
That's all for today. Thanks for reading~
I put this surveillance camera in the perfect spot.
