SO, yeah. First blog here! How exciting is that? I thought I'd kick it off by talking a little bit about the Dream World. Fun place with very little effort required. I enjoy the mini games, too. I'm pretty good at the flying race, serving the drinks with the Foongus, locating a Pokemon with 50 seconds to usually spare, Open the Treasure Box with Charizard and that's it. I'm REALLY bad at the Gem Collecting one. I can never draw the stupid line fast enough. The rest I'm not bad at.

Currently I'm looking for a Mr. Mime for my play through of Black 2. It's pretty fun and nice to not have to go to the Sparkling Sea, which is all I used to get, even with other Pokemon tucked in.

While I'm on the subject, does anyone know how to add friends to the dream world so I can visit their place and collect me some points, and vice-versa? I haven't figured it out yet and would like to know and maybe add some from this lovely site.

If you know, let me know! Also, if you managed to read this, what mini games are you good at? I wonder if I'm the only one who is bad at the gem collecting one....?

In OTHER news, so this isn't all about looking for Dream World friends (I didn't know where to post it and didn't want to make a full post on something so selfish) I am currently in the middle of a Nuzlocke run in Platinum! I'm having a lot of fun. My guy is named Rex and since I like to be creative he has a little story. Which I might save for later.

I decided to pick Piplup this time since in Diamond I chose Chimchar an in Platinum first run I chose Turtwig. He's worked out well. I have 3 badges so far and am working on raising my team so there are no more fatalities! Thankfully there haven't been many yet, nor any big, important ones. Has anyone done a Nuzlocke run in D/P/Pt? I did one in my LG for moderate success and it was pretty fun!

As for my team, they are:

Captain the Empoleon: Lv.36
Careful Nature- Thoroughly Cunning
Met at Lv.5 at Route 201
Moves: Brine, Pluck, Aqua Jet, Stealth Rock
Notes: destroys everything. In my head he is fatherly to the others

Scoque the Beautifly: Lv.31
Bold Nature- Alert to Sounds
Met at Lv.11 at Route 205
Moves: Gust, Mega Drain, Attract and Stun Spore
Notes: Originally did NOT WANT a measly bug but after deciding to give him a try, as per the Nuzlocke run, he turned out to be a tactical expert! Love him to death

Charlotte the Roselia: Lv.29
Serious Nature- Loves to Eat
Met at Lv.19 at Route 209
Moves: Giga Drain, Magical Leaf, Leech Seed, Grass Whistle
Notes: totally a princess. Hard not to be. She's been useful but it's hard to really tell yet since I haven't raised her or used her TOO much. She has a low defense so I'm worried about her.

Burt the Bibarel: Lv.21
Bold Nature- Capable of Taking Hits
Met at Lv.18 at Route 208
Moves: Cut, Rock Smash, Rollout and Headbutt
Notes: Originally was going to be the HM Slave, but after careful consideration and being reminded that this is NUZLOCKE, I decided to start training him and use him in my main party. I actually always kinda liked Bidoof so Bibarel should be a good addition to the team with Surf and lots of other stuff!

Loverboy the Pichu: Lv.23
Naughty Nature- Likes to Relax
Met at Lv.22 at the Trophy Garden
Moves: Thunder (Thundaga!), Thunder Wave, Sweet Kiss, Nasty Plot
Notes: Totally just caught him! He is adorable and reminds me of some sweet talking bar hopping casanova. He has had some close calls but he has managed to make it through so far! I'm considering some new moves but more then likely Nasty Plot stays!

The last slot has yet to be filled, but we'll see! I've enjoyed it so far! So, I'll try to update later on if anything happens!!

Fun place with very little effort required.
I'll take it that you haven't played DW for very long. After the one month mark, it gets tedious. So just imagine the couple year mark (that'd be me)...

At this point, I'm good at all the games, though my favorites are the ones that don't take long to befriend the pokemon. So that'd be Ice Cream scoop, the board thing, find the stupid pokemon, serving drinks, really anything that takes thirty seconds and then I can go sit in another window.

To add Dream Pals, make sure that you are in front of your house, and the click the check Dream Pal map. You can visit people you've traded with or added Friend Codes with (as of last game sync). The Dream World also generates one random house. If that random house isn't there, you need to change your privacy settings on pokemon.com.

Thanks for the tips! I haven't seen a house, but I'm sure my privacy settings are set to normal? I'll have to check it out. I didn't know adding people from your actual in game would make their DW homes appear! Helps a ton! I think I also need to do some more trading heh.

As it is, no, I have not played the DW very long but I can see how it gets tedious- for me it was getting tiring going to the Sparkling Sea and seeing the same Pokemon over and over. The games work fine for me (though I don't like the ice cream scoop, though I can see how getting a quick minigame works well). For now I only have 2,000 dream points and I'm trying to get more to have other mons appear! I can't imagine going for a whole year though @_@
