New discoveries every day

Yesterday night, my mom, stepdad and I were watching Bill O'Reilly as customary, when a wild segment about Putin appears. My mother scoffed at the sight of Putin and told my stepdad this:
"Imagine if your family never left Russia. You guys would still be there now under him. That would've sucked."
My stepdad's response was that his great-grandfather was a guard for Tsar Nicholas II and knew Rasputin. My jaw dropped and so did my mom's. We asked why the fuck he never told us this and he said it never came up in conversation.
It feel good to be indirectly related to a person who was indirectly associated with important historical figures. Unfortunately, my step great great grandfather died in the revolution. However, his wife and son fled to America and you know what happened next.
You jealous, @Zima;?
