From youtube to facebook people think gen 5 is the worse pokemon generation. and think gen 6 is better why is that?
It probably has something to do with the negative reception a lot of people had towards the Best Wishes which was meant to portray Generation V so while the games weren't all that bad with the anime doing such a poor job at accurately portraying the Generation V games it hardly matters especially for people who use the anime as a representation of the Generation.
I've noticed a funny trend with Pokemon. It's like people consider the most recent Gen to be the best, the one before it to be the worst, then the one before that to be the second best.
I see why Black/White (and definitely the Best Wishes series) would be hated, but why B2/W2?
The dominant reasons are probably nostalgia and/or "they changed it, now it sucks" mentality.
'Cuz everybody on YouTube and Facebook and anywhere outside fandom forums are silly-billies.
Gen 5 is hated because of people blinded by nostalagia.
Because people are fans of the original 150 151.
"From Youtube to Facebook" Well there's your problem
I think it's because of the "bad designs", I have a friend who hates Gen 5 just for the Pokemon designs. Also, ya, nostalgia definitely gives points to the Gen 5 haters (don't want to call them genwunners because some people hate Gen 5 besides from nostalgia)

B/W are way better then B2/W2. I actually hate myself for wasting money on those games.

^ Fair enough.
People point out the "weirder" designs (Garbodor, Vanilluxe, etc) and say "they're running out of ideas" when Gen I had some unoriginal designs itself.
The fact that you mention that these people apparently think gen 6 is better than the fifth, despite the fact that isn't really even here yet, leads me to believe that they think the current generation is automatically the worst because they only like the first one or two generations, and the current one is the "new generation" they can bash. That, and they have this "gen 6 is better than gen 5 because it isn't gen 5; gen 5 is better than gen 4 because it isn't gen 4; etc." mentality.
Haha, unpleasable "fan"bases!
Zelda has it similar; any time a game is released, its decried as a huge step down and the game before it is praised as near perfection.
First an installment is too unlike Ocarina of Time (WW) and then it's too much like it (TP).
But I admit I am sort of a Genwunner regarding the anime. I can't help it. I'm no better than the fans on YouTube or FaceBook in that way: I feel the same way as them about the series a lot of the time. xD.
Anyway, I think it's just a matter of opinion. None of the Gens is inherently better than the other. I didn't like Gen 4 that much, but that's just my bias speaking. To a lot of people, Gen 4 is the best one. Gen 5 is probably the most hated by the fandom because (a) it's the most recent, (b) a lot of fans feel like the games (and series) should have ended already, and (c) the designs seem to be different from what they once were and they liked the more "animal-like" designs more. Some people I've talked to like Gen 6 a lot more than Gen 5 as well already. Some people like Gen 4 more than Gen 3 and thought Gen 3 was the pits. It's just preference in the end. Some people hate Gen 2 (my fav) but adore Gen 1. Etc.
Even though I wasn't really around the fandom till the latest gen, I'm fairly certain this exact same question was asked in the transition from Gen 4 to 5. People focus on the negatives more, or just plain troll when the whole thing is over, its like a cycle now.
Fact is, Gen 5 is not hated at all. It has its critics, just like everything else and every other Pokemon Gen to date, but there certainly was not a feeling of universal hatred. (Just the opposite really, though BW2 could have been a bit better) Generation 3 is when this question began to be asked I think due to all the abrupt changes it brought due to being a reboot of the franchise.
When Gen 6 ends, I expect for this question to be asked again because of people who dislike the Fairy type & the mega-evolution concept.
