Customer service fail

Rate this Entry
I was trying to create an AIM account through its iPhone application. For some reason it cannot create my account even when I fill in the fields properly. So I sent in a customer service form. The reply I got?

If you're having issues with your AIM on your iPhone try deleting the account from your device and setting it up again.
How am I supposed to delete an account that doesn't exist? This is not how to do customer service, people!

I ended up giving them a reply, telling them they haven't really solved my problem at all. Hopefully I can get things going soon...

Edit: So they told me to create the account using a different browser. Okay, at least I got a feasible answer. Well, I'll try when I get home.

Hah, you should've seen the response I got when I contacted Bethesda Softworks about The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I sent them a question about a piece of downloadable content for that game, and they sent me advertisement for The Elder Scrolls Online.

Thankfully, when I tried calling them on the phone, they were much more helpful.
