My Wanted Pokemon!

I got a Celebi in a temporary trade the other week, but I didn't keep it. This time though, I would like to talk about Ekans and Arbok. In my National Dex, Ekans is the first Pokemon not to be registered and it's starting to bug me. Thus, I would like an Arbok to breed or an Ekans. But, I'm not done yet. Arbok looks like a cool Pokemon. It's a Poison type and has good abilities. Also, I don't think I've ever used an Arbok in my party, so I think I could potentially train it up to be a good Pokemon and addition to in my party. Arbok is also the only Pokemon with a possible stat total of 438 and is one of the only Poison type Pokemon in the Dragon Egg Group. That's why my most wanted Pokemon today is:

Dreams and Hopes

As the title of this blog is Dreams and Hopes, I thought I would tell you my dreams and hopes for me and my Pokemon on Black 2. I think in the overview of this blog, I mentioned I'd do this, so I will start doing it and updating it as I go.

Firstly, I'd like to get Empoleon and Meloetta to Level 100, if I did this, I'd be really happy and would love to include them both as permanent additions to my team. As I mentioned in my last entry, both of the Pokemon I received in a trade, but Empoleon was a Piplup back then. Both of them now have full happiness and are devolving nicely.

Next, I'd like to Capture all the Pokemon in the Unova Dex. If I did this, I'd have data on every Unova Pokemon minimum and this would add to my total of 395 Pokemon captured already. The first Pokemon I have not captured in the Unova Dex is Leavanny, so I'm going to have to do some training at some point.

I'd like to Capture every Legendary or have them in my Dex. I'm already a step of the way there and now that I have Arceus and Meloetta, I'm so happy that I decided to trade with the wonderful people on Bulbagarden Forums.

Beat Red and Blue in PWT. In Soul Silver, I beat Red at Mt. Silver. It was such a good feeling and I'd love to experience it in Generation V. Red and Blue were the characters that started Pokemon, so it'd be wonderful to face them in a battle with our favourite Pocket Monsters. All I need to do first is to beat the other championships to eventually square off against Red.

I'd like to build the ultimate Pokemon team. A team that can beat all the rest. My Pokemon and I can beat others if we put our mind to it. This brings me to...

The Pokemon Complex

Time and time again, we win and lose Pokemon battles. But, what is the purpose of battling? To get stronger, yes, to become better, yes. But, we develop a weird, but heartwarming bond with our Pokemon throughout the games. We enjoy battling and trading and interacting as Pokemon trainers, but at a Championship Level, it gets competitive! For those of you who have a Pokemon Global Link account, you will have noticed the competition going on. I'm considering entering it. This will be a huge milestone for me, since I've never entered an official tournament before. However, to be successful, I need a strategy.

Right. I'm no expert, but even I know that Pokemon battles rely on the power of your Pokemon and their moves. Type matchups are important, however you don't know what to expect in Online Battles. Of course sadly event Pokemon can't be included in Online Battles, so that rules out my Genesect, Arceus, Meloetta, ect. I'm going to have to use normal Pokemon, which is absolutely fine. I just need a matchup that suits me. I'm confident that I'm going to be using my Emboar in my team, since it's special to me. But, the question is: What other Pokemon will I use?

I have a Torterra at Level 100, but recently, it's sort of let me down. In the PWT, I was using it in the Kanto Leaders tournament and it was the only thing that could possibly win me the match (since my other Pokemon had fainted). Lt. Surge had one Pokemon left with red health and my attack did no damage to his Pokemon at all. I lost. Now, I'm not trying to force the blame on Torterra, as it's my fault too. I am the trainer after all. I have now taught Torterra Earthquake and it's doing better, but I'm going to need more than Fire and Grass to take on other trainers.

I have recently only been using Pokemon native to Unova. I feel that this needs to change. If I experiment with Pokemon that I haven't used before, I may achieve some awesome results. Kanto is second place in my favourite region. Sinnoh and Unova are joint 1st place. However, I've began to appreciate Kanto Pokemon much much more. So I think it's time I gave some more love to them and include them in my party.
There are a ton of Pokemon I would love to use, but the problem is that the registration dates for the contest are closing in and I doubt I could train the Pokemon I want and give them a good moveset in time. I'd love to use Charizard, Blastoise and Gengar mostly, but I need to train them. Maybe bt future contests they will be trained up well and suitable for the battles.

Conclusion and the Verdict?

I will enter the competition with Emboar at least. But as for the remaining Pokemon, I reckon I will include Zoroark and Torterra. But if I can, I will use Blastoise in combat, but not Charizard. Contrary to what I said in the last paragraph, Charizard is a Fire type Pokemon and Emboar is already a fire type. I don't need an extra fire type when that Party Space can be used for something more worthwhile. I will need a balance of types, so I will try to have a Pokemon that accommodates two types that I'm missing. Like a Magnezone or something similar to that. I'll keep you posted on how the Championship is going in due time.

Anime is Awesome!

Recently with my Pokemon Club Trainer Account (the one that is used on Pokemon Global Link), I've been watching some old anime episodes, which have really brought back memories. I've not watched a proper full episode before the Diamond and Pearl series, which was when I first got into Pokemon. Ash's voice is weird but awesome at the same time. Brock came across as mean at first but then I grew to like him again.
I can't wait to watch more! Though I didn't like her at first, Misty is growing on me too!

Poke Talk!
Some trivia for you, Poke Talk was originally going to be the name of the blog. But now it's going to be the name of this segment! This'll be where I talk about anything to do with Pokemon. It'll be like a Pot Luck segment where I talk about anything! Could be the games, the cards, the anime, what ever! However, this is a blog, not a weird unofficial stalker show. So it'll be something I've been looking at recently. This one will be in two parts, so I can just brainstorm a few more points for my argument. Anyway, enough of me blagging on, today I'm talking about: .

A Pokemon MMO? - Part 1

I'm sure if each Pokemon fan had to make a wishlist, this would be near the top of their list. Though many unofficial attempts have been done, no official online Pokemon RPG has been created by the Pokemon Company (Nintendo). I was scrolling across YouTube one day and I saw several adverts for Pokemon MMO and things like that. All unofficial. I'm not saying that their attempts are total rubbish, but it would be nice for an official Pokemon MMO, which could link to the handheld games. A Pokemon MMO could offer so much that a handheld Pokemon game couldn't offer us. You could travel with trainers on your journey, using your Pokemon to overcome trials and problems you may face. You and your partners Pokemon could battle other NPC trainers and real Pokemon trainers together without having to sit next to each other in a cramped, dark room only lit by your dragons fiery breath. (You all have dragons right?). Thought this could be perfected in the games, a Pokemon MMO would have to allow character customization. I'm sure every Pokemon trainer has longed to throw away the hat and get an awesome bow tie and a stetson. (No?) I mean, why do other NPC's get to customize whilst your stuck in your Kanto/Johto/Hoenn/Sinnoh/Unova get up.

An awesome option that I and loads of others have thought of is the option to explore EVERY region freely. To make it more challenging, the developers could have it so you have to have so many Pokemon or a certain level Pokemon, ect. Basically a special requirement to enter the other regions. This could yield a ton of possibilities, enabling loads if not all of the Pokemon to be caught.

Pokemon has been going now for 5 Generations and there are fans desperate for change, some fans are desperate for the format to evolve slowly and some don't want it to change at all. But what will a Pokemon Online RPG or MMO do for all of those fans?

Anyway, my sights are now set on the National Dex and more legendaries! I'll explain my Trading Efforts now.

Trading Efforts

The guy who helped me out today was Archmage and was an awesome guy today. I bred my Phione to get 3 eggs, hatching one and giving it Pokerus and leaving the others as eggs. After a long negotiation, we decided to finally trade. For the 3 Phione, I got an Electrike, Fearow and a female Nidoran, all at Level 10. I've now evolved Nidoran to Nidoqueen and bred Fearow to get a Spearow and I'm about to evolve Electrike. All in all a very successful day in my opinion and I hope to trade with Archmage in the future, he's awesome to trade with and very generous.

I'll quickly list my Most Wanted and then I can get onto the main discussion.

My Wanted Pokemon

Weirdly, so far when I have had a wanted Pokemon, the next day I somehow obtain it. So hopefully it'll be the same for this next Pokemon.
Celebi in my eyes is an awesome legendary, it moves swiftly and innocently and is small. :P It also can learn PERISH SONG. Which as you can guess, is one of my favourite Pokemon moves. As well as this, Celebi is a Psychic and Grass type and as those who look at my profile will know, is my favourite type. Well, grass anyway. Psychic isn't that bad either. Plus, it isn't a 'moody' Pokemon that isn't cheerful like Mewtwo for the most part, it's a very nice and cute Pokemon. It even has it's own Pokeball, the GS ball! I also like the backstory if it being able to travel through time. It's stats can total 600 too! So it's a good Pokemon in my opinion as well. Celebi is one of my favourite legendaries and I doubt it'll be knocked off my top list any time soon.

Meloetta and Empoleon

Ever since I got a Piplup in a trade, I've been trying to elevate it to Level 100, it's now Empoleon at Level 58. Similarly, when I got Meloetta yesterday, I've been trying to get it to Level 100 and it's now at Level 64. They both have Pokerus and are holding Exp Shares and they are slowly growing up. Meloetta's moveset now is:

• Relic Song
• Hyper Voice
• U - Turn
• Psychic

This is what I'd say a plausible set until it learns Perish Song. Empoleon meanwhile knows:

• Brine
• Pluck
• BubbleBeam
• Drill Peck

I think it's an okay set, but I'd like it to become stronger and I'm considering teaching it Surf and Waterfall, since I want to avoid using Samurott for a while in favour for new water types. I'll keep you tuned on how Meloetta and Empoleon are doing as we go through next week.

Fanfiction Fest

I'm considering making my own Pokemon fanfiction soon and I'm wondering what your thoughts are on it. If I did set about doing a fanfiction series, I think I'd set it in Unova or Sinnoh, since out of the regions I've played in, I like them the best. On another forum, I did do a Pokemon fanfiction series with a friend, but due to other commitments, we had to end it. I hope I can someday do some more fanfiction, but I am more specialised in Doctor Who fanfiction, so it may be hard doing a transition into Pokemon for a bit.

Final Thought

Again, this is a very short blog entry, but with me being pressed for time, it's hard to put in entry's most of the time. ARCEUS

Do you remember yesterday I wanted an Arceus that knew Perish Song? Today I bagged one! Along with other Pokemon, I now possess even more Legendaries which I'll go through in a moment. But first, I'll take you through the Arceus' moveset and details.

I know this is the Dream World Arceus event Pokemon from last year. It was met on the 20/3/2011 at Entree Forest at Level 100. OT is Mat, so I presume Dragon got this in a trade. I myself traded my shiny Mamoswine for this Arceus and I feel it's worth it. It is holding no plate so it is the normal type of Arceus. The aspects and stats of Arceus are:

• HP: 382
• Attack: 308
• Defense: 277
• Sp. Atk: 278
• Sp. Def: 277
• Speed: 248

It's ability is Multiptype which 'Changes type to match the held plate' and here's the awesome thing...

MOVES:

• Recover
• Hyper Beam
• PERISH SONG
• JUDGEMENT

Notice the first bold? IT'S PERISH SONG! Yippie! Perish Song! This is the ideal Arceus for me and I'll be sure to add it to my party in a moment!

Giratina

Dragon kindly gave me some other Pokemon and this was one of the permanent ones that he gave me. In exchange for a Clamperl, Dragon gave me a level 40 Giratina which I'll also examine in the same way as I did Arceus. Giratina was met on the 25/10/2012 via Pokemon Dream Radar. This one was Dragon's I presume as it has his OT name. It has a bashful nature. So:

• HP: 179
• Attack: 87
• Defense: 109
• Sp. Attack: 87
• Sp. Defense: 113
• Speed: 88

Giratina's ability is Telepathy, which allows it to dodge team-mates moves in Double and Triple battles, useful for Surf!

MOVES:

• Destiny Bond
• Dragon Claw
• Earth Power
• Aura Sphere

Not a bad Pokemon, I'm really grateful for it and I will raise Giratina up to it's full potential.

MELOETTA

The final permanent trade was a Level 15 Meloetta! I was really happy to see this one in my box, as it's the only Pokemon I need to complete the Unova Dex, or so I thought. More on that later. Anyway, Meloetta was met on the 14/7/2012 at Pokemon Movie 12. It has a fateful encounter at Level 15. It's OT is unpronounceable but Dragon must've got this in a trade. It has a timid nature.

• HP: 57
• Attack: 27
• Defense: 32
• Sp. Attack: 46
• Sp. Defense: 45
• Speed: 38

It's ability is Serene Grace which boosts the likelihood of added effects appearing.

MOVES:

• Round
• Confusion
• Quick Attack

I plan on teaching Meloetta Perish Song and Relic Song. Perish Song will replace Quick Attack. Today has been lively, but it's not over yet! Here are some temporary dex trades I got also.

TEMPORARY DEX TRADES

I got a Level 50 Deoxys in it's normal form. I didn't get time to look at it due to me having to send the Deoxys back.

I also got a Ho - Oh for a while, also Level 50. I also sent this one back I didn't get to look at it.

My Wanted Pokemon

Since I've fulfilled yesterday's wanted Pokemon, time for a new one. So I thought I completed the Unova Dex after I got Meloetta. Hurriedly, I flew
to Nuvema Town to tell Juniper. She said 'You've seen 300 Pokemon in the Unova Region...' C'mon..... 'A little more work and it'll be complete.' I was confused, hadn't I completed it? It was only then I looked to see that I had seen 300 Pokemon if you count Victini, which it did. When I scrolled down the dex, something was missing: Rufflet. I need Rufflet to complete the Unova Dex.

My most wanted Pokemon today is:

Final Thought

So today, I now have 3 new Legendaries in my box and 5 more in my Pokedex! I'm really excited to train them and make them the best they can be to battle others. This'll be an awesome feat if I can get 'em all to Level 100. I plan on helping my friend out by doing a dex trade for him to get Meloetta and for me to hopefully get Rufflet. I'm EpicPokemon12 and I'd like to welcome you to my first blog entry. This is a weekly and - hopefully - daily blog which I'll be telling you all about my Pokemon day and life. My most wanted Pokemon and some other awesome things I want to share with you all. It's not all about Pokemon though, I'll be telling you all about what I've been up to and other things that have happened to me throughout the course of the week/day. Let's get cracking!

Pokemon and Me

I'll introduce my Pokemon experience so far. At the age of 6 for me, Diamond and Pearl was released. This was when I had first got a DSlite, as I recall and I didn't know much about the world of Pokemon. I purchased Platinum in 2009 when it came out and was introduced to Pokemon. Bang! Piplup, Turtwig, Chimchar! 3 starter Pokemon - one to choose. Piplup was the one. I journeyed around, beating trainers and Gym Leaders to earn badges, exploring the world which a tiny cartridge held. I could hold a world in the palm of my hand and to capture 210 Pocket Monsters. Only to then discover the National Dex, which I was amazed at. I soon started to get more accustomed with Pokemon and purchased Soul Silver, again, brilliant. A reworking of Silver with new features and gameplay - a wonderful game for me to experience. I had my DSI about then and that was lasting me until I started to play Black, which concluded on my 3DS, only when the save data became corrupted and WHAM. Pokemon felt dead to me then, so I made no attempt to go back to it, deciding to focus on other things. It was only till later I started to crack back into Pokemon, only purchasing Black 2 and playing through that.

I beat the Champion in just over a week and I felt elated, now realising that there were over 600 Pokemon for me to catch. It's going to be a heck of a journey and I hope I can finish the Dex one day. But until then, I GTS trade and check my Join Avenue daily for new people coming in and demanding to be recommended to a shop, who am I to decline their request? :ksmile:

Anywho, that brings you up to date in a nutshell. Let's get somethings out of the way:

• My favourite starter is Bulbasaur :)
• I love Grass and Fire.
• Arceus and Genesect are my favourite Legendaries.
• Ash is epic.
• I love Pikachu's weight loss programme over the course of the anime. :goof:
• I think that Generation V is the best out of all the generations I've played.
• The Original, Pokemon World, Pokemon Johto, We will be Heroes, Black and White and Rival Destinies are the best theme songs in my opinion.

Now that that's done, I'm going to discuss my current legendary situation on Black 2 and what I'd like in...

My Wanted Pokemon

On Black 2, I have several legendaries:

• Cresselia
• All the Swords of Justice Pokemon, minus Keledo
• The Weather Trio
• The Lake Trio
• Dialga
• Phione
• Heatran
• Latias
• Lugia

I recall having other legendaries on Black, but as you know my Black was wiped. I'd like Arecus and Mew in my dex, at least seen. Arceus is usually depicted as 'The Original One' or the God Pokemon and that is a reason why it's special, however it's a Pokemon that knows Perish. I understand that a lot of people do, but Arceus using Perish Song I feel is just awesome, it's a good move for Arceus and I personally think all Event Pokemon should have it in their moveset. I don't think Swablu and Altaria should be allowed to learn it, but it's my opinion I guess. Another reason for Arceus' coolness is the ability to change it's type. One minute you could have a Fire Type Arceus, the next a Water Type Arceus, it's amazing! Arceus is a very cool legendary and for a while was my favourite Pokemon. Despite being pushed in favour of Genesect/Bulbasaur, it resides in my list of favourites.

Final Thought for the Day
