Hello fellow forum-goers, I have caught my first shiny pokemon! It is a Swadloon. I found it outside in the tall grass by Chargstone Cave and the Rest House.

Congratulations! :) My first wild shiny Pokémon was very similar to yours. It was a Sewaddle which has evolved into a Leavanny.

My first was Arceus. Jk, it was a pelliper.
So is Leavanny any good? I could take Durant out I just don't like the fact that you have to evolve it with friendship xD Plus I'm at the Elite Four and its in the mid 20s

I used Leavanny in B1. No it isnt great but it can learn a few fun things and be an annoyer. But I'd use it as I have a rule of using any shiny I find on a playthrough during that playthrough.
