What better way to ring in the new year than to completely ruin it?
I have a mind that sometimes thinks of why things are the way they are. A good example of this is the new year, January 1st. Why January 1st, and why not something more astronomically accurate like a solstice or an equinox? Also, why does it have to be celebrated at midnight over all the time zones? Why can't we just celebrate it all at once, uniting the world if only for a moment? And here's a little linky pitching the same point, but a lot more sciency and in depth. --> [link]
So, here's to another trip hurtling through space around the sun.
I am not as excited as everyone else, though. I can't really seem to find a solid meaning or anything behind it. It's just another day in my life for me. But whatever.
Enjoy your various carbonated celebratory beverages, and stay awesome
