My inner gamer has been crying here lately. I got Pokemon White 2 as soon as I could possibly get it and I haven't played it nearly as often as I want to. It's a bad thing, but at the same time it's kind of a good thing too. For the past three weeks, I have had something to do almost every day. I don't often have a day to just loaf around anymore. I'm glad for this, however. I'm busy and I'm tired, but I'm enjoying it.

I got to play a little bit of White 2 today, however, and I'm once again at a point where I need to do some serious grinding. What amuses me with this game is that I've got so many Pokemon I use, that it goes beyond six Pokemon. I'm constantly swapping out Pokemon and could probably make a whole secondary team. It's been pretty tough deciding who I carry with me and when. And the crazy thing is that when I grind, I train more than just the six I have with me. I set a level goal for myself, work my Pokemon to that level, then trade out for the others I use and train them as well. Let me tell you, having the breeders in this game that you can constantly battle every time you re-enter a route they're on has been incredibly useful. It gets me plenty of money and experience at the same time.

I'm pretty excited I got to actually catch my first legendary on the game today. I already have Mew that I traded from Black and Genesect that I downloaded, but those don't really count for me. I legit caught this one. I look forward to catching more as well. Tomorrow I have absolutely nothing planned. A free day has been a rarity these past few weeks, but I'll definitely try to spend the time gaming away and appeasing my inner gamer for all the times I missed out playing video games.

I went to put on some episodes of Pokemon the other night before going to bed, just because I couldn't fall asleep yet and I literally had to sweep the dust off my 360 before I put the dvd in to play. I think I died a little inside. I didn't think it had been so long since I last touched it.

So this past tuesday I finally got my copy of White 2. I had to go through a couple of stores, but I finally stopped at a gamestop and they had only one copy that I could see. While at gamestop I also figured out why I hadn't been getting my issue of game informer every month. They misspelled the town I was from and didn't include part of my road's name. When I renewed my power card thingy, all this was corrected. Thank goodness.

The next day, my late birthday present came in as well. I now have the first volume of the first season of Pokemon. I've been sick with sinus stuff so all this has kept me preoccupied. I finished the first disk last night. Today I need to do some serious grinding with my team. Oh! I've already decided that the most annoying gym, to me, is Roxie's gym. Simply because of the song that plays in it. I had it stuck in my head for awhile there.

If it hadn't been for last night watching over half a dozen episodes of Pokemon, it'd still be stuck in my head. Now the original Pokemon theme song and the Poke rap are stuck in my head. It's a better alternative, in my mind at least. Over all, I'm enjoying the game. I like that, unlike in Black and White, you can have previous generations of Pokemon to catch and put in your team from the start. I have a Growlithe, Elekid, and Lucario in my team already. I've enjoyed some of the extra content as well, like owning my own avenue and inviting people to set up shops and recommending people to them. I don't know why, but I'm obsessive over that. I come back and check that multiple times just to see if there's some people wandering around I can bug to invite or recommend shops.

My favorite feature by far has to be the habitat feature. I've been all about collecting every Pokemon I can find on this game. That feature is helping quite a bit. I always forget which Pokemon I've captured and I can always know if I've discovered every Pokemon on that route or in that area. I'm sure as I progress through the game I'll only find more things I like. I've still got quite a ways to go.

Well, I better get back to focusing on leveling up my team. My poor Elekid is constantly fainting because I'm running into Pokemon five levels over him. That's a clear indicator I haven't done enough training. XD

Even if for some reason I couldn't pre-order the game, I'm pretty positive I could have gotten my hands on a copy of White 2 somewhere.

Unfortunately I did not get to cash my check and I've been sick all weekend long. Tomorrow I have to go out to a doctor's appointment, so I'll just have to try my hand at cashing the check and buying it then. Also have the first volume of the first season of Pokemon coming to my house this week as well. A belated birthday present from my sister. This week will totally be worth the wait. Meanwhile, however, I think I'll be avoiding some friends and some sites today until I have the game in my hands. I have to avoid getting too jealous. XD

Pokemon White 2 and Pokemon Black 2 are inching closer and closer to their american release date. I have to admit to cheating and watching videos of people playing this game in a language I don't even read. Hopefully I didn't spoil too much for myself, but I just couldn't help myself either. These are the first two Pokemon games that didn't change their color, they simply slapped a two on the end of it.

I can't say I'm against that though. From the looks of it and what I know of it, it's a true sequel to the last games. I'm looking forward to playing it out. I think the real question on everyone's mind is "Do I get Black 2 or do I get White 2?" Honestly, I know of a friend who was so indecisive that she pre-ordered both. I have no such money to throw around. So it comes down to choosing only one. Many of the people I know want to get Black 2.

However, I think I'll end up getting White 2. There are several reasons why I've decided on this. I got Black last time, so I wouldn't mind it being a different color. In Black, Reshiram was on the cover. White 2 has White Kyurem on the cover. I like having that similarity. Honestly with so many people I know wanting to get Black 2, that drives me to want White 2 even more. I like being the oddball and doing things a little different.

Just a little longer and it'll be back to catching Pokemon on a new game and comparing notes with my fellow Pokemon masters. I've even got a few Pokemon I bred in Black to send off to the next game to raise.

Unfortunately I did not get to battle a single time in the tournament. Apparently my internet can handle playing an mmo all day long, but it has serious difficulties doing anything with my ds. The typical thing to say right now would be that I wasted all that time training an entire team of Pokemon from the ground up and didn't get to use them for their intended purpose. I feel the exact opposite, actually. It was time well spent raising a completely new team that could take on the elite four and the champion. Not only that, but hitting the elite four so many times to raise my team earned me plenty of money in the game.

I want to give a shout out to @DatGuyBleach for getting like a dozen wins. That's definitely more wins than I thought I would get, if I could have participated. Also to @Catilena1890 for getting a win as well. Perhaps if something like this comes up again, I'll have better luck connecting or I'll have free time to go somewhere else to get a good connection. Unfortunately my problem with going somewhere else to get internet was that anytime I wasn't at home was because I had somewhere to be.

Oh well. I'll just say there is always next time and enjoy playing with my new team. To anyone else that's reading this that may have been in the tournament that I didn't call out, I hope you did well in the tournament as well. I'm just happy enough knowing that my friends got at least one win.

Okay, for starters, I preface this by saying my team is not compromised of dragons. Sadly, I don't have a single dragon type in my team. However, that's not to say I'm without dragon type moves. Anyway! Moving along.

I realized it just started a bit ago and I'm a bit behind the ball, but here is my team for the tournament:

I went with these types so I could have as well rounded and diverse of a team as I could. There are no dragon or dark types on the team, but I'm not without their moves. Oh! Or ice types, but I have that covered too. I refuse to give out my entire moveset, but that's the list right there. As I mentioned earlier, I ran into a serious problem with this team. Electric types could pretty much have their way with me and one Zebrastrika did. Granted, I was outleveled, but I had nothing to deal super effective damage that could have evened the odds. I solved that problem quickly by teaching Venusaur Earthquake.

I'm not entirely comfortable with the team I have, but I've had to make myself realize that any combination I go with is going to leave me open to a certain Pokemon or a certain dual typing or so on. It has it's weaknesses as I'm sure anyone could point out, but it has it's strengths as well and I've tried to leave myself options for almost every situation I could think of. I'd also rather go in with Pokemon that I like as opposed to Pokemon of a same type that might work better (You could never make me trade out a Charizard).

I'm really crossing my fingers and hoping my internet behaves so I can participate in the tournament. Which I plan to start participating in when I wake up. If it doesn't behave, then i'm just stuck until saturday when I have a vehicle again. Unfortunately I've been stranded at the house without a vehicle for the weekend. I'm also still training the Venusaur as we speak. But after this last run against the elite four, I think I'm confident enough to give the tournmanet a go. Though my confidence for doing any good in the tournament is a different matter entirely. This is the first one I've participated in and I'm without my lovable legendaries I love to throw on my team. My poor Mewtwo is sidelined for this one, along with my Giratina.

I could have chosen other legendaries that are permitted in the tournament, but I have pride in these little babies I raised from level one, all hatched from eggs. Well, except the Jolteon was apparently a trade over but it was a level one. Anyway, I can't think of anything else to add other than senseless rambling. I'm good at senseless rambling. Especially at this hour. Anyway! I'm going to need all the luck in the world to make it out of this one alive!

So I finally decided on the sixth and final member for my team. I suppose I'm happy enough about the decision but running through training with my team, I realized a glaring weakness. I'm glad I discovered it sooner rather than later and compensated for it accordingly after I ran into it. However, it's given me a bit of doubt here and there on if I chose the proper team for this and if I would truly be prepared for anything if I managed to overlook this one thing. I guess it would be natural for most people to have a little doubt, especially after coming across something they feel they should have seen beforehand.

I have to admit I haven't been doing as much training as I would like for this new team. I want to make them Elite Four worthy, but I haven't worked a single one up to that point yet and the tournament is only a few days away. Granted, I got them to the point where I can use them in the tournament, but further training will only help me that much more. Considering I ran into one problem and managed to compensate for it before I came across it in the tournament, I would definitely say further training can only help. I'll tell what that weakness was when I feel like revealing my team. And I won't be revealing them in this blog either. I want to be a little more comfortable with my choices. I want to make sure I have the right moveset solidified and everything before I feel like I can reveal them. I'm just glad I finally settled on the entire team of six.

I'm back to training as we speak. The Elite Four must be facepalming now. This is like the dozenth time I've battled them. But hey, it makes good money and trains my team well all at the same time. A few more times at this and I should start making the switch from my old team to the new one I'm raising as regulars to battle the Elite Four. I don't see anything pressing coming up in the next few days that will have my full attention, so if I just stop being lazy about it then I could have my entire team Elite Four worthy within the next couple days or so.

New goal. At least ONE of them will be able to take on the Elite Four tonight. It may take a bit and it may get monotonous, but I have to feel like I accomplished something with the tournament coming up this weekend.

I thought I would take a stab at my first blog here. It's late, but let's see how this thing goes. I would say I got "talked" into this tournament by @Catelina1890, but that would make it sound like it took some convincing or effort on her part and it really didn't. After an initial no, thinking my internet wouldn't cut it, I had to remind myself that Kitty and I have the same internet service provider and that should be a good enough reason for me to retract my initial response. If this doesn't cut it, Mcdonalds, the movie rental store, or that nice little diner where I get my Mew will be seeing quite a bit of me.

So far I have five teammates decided on. The sixth is up in the air. I'm a little proud of myself because all five of these started out at level one and all of them have hit at least the level fifty mark in just one day. I don't want to give too much away on what Pokemon I've chosen so far, since I have one more left to train, but I will say that for most of the day I was very undecided between an electric type, a dual type where one of the types was a dragon and a dual type where one of the types was a fighting type. I settled on the electric one and boy was I happy with that decision because it's one speedy little Pokemon. I was hesitant to throw an electric type on my team, despite always having to have an electric type on my team in the past. I had Flying and Water types already covered, but I have a feeling this one will help tremendously. It certainly looks to be the fastest one on my team.

As for the final slot on my team, I will say this. I am leaning heavily toward having the sixth as a level one I can train. It would be quite an experience for me. I'm used to raising and training Pokemon, but going into this tournament with a completely new team that I raised from the ground up has an exciting and very personal feel to it. I know of someone who is doing the same thing, so it's great to hear I'm not the only one who thought of this.

I spent the entire day and night training five out of my six team members to at least level fifty. I mentioned that just earlier, yes? Of course I did. Oh man is it getting late. Yeah, I'm positive the Elite Four and Alder are sick of me and aren't too pleased with all the money I got out of them. Hah! So worth it though...and I guess that could be taken literally. Anyway. Tomorrow or today, after I get some sleep, I'll decide on my last teammate and train it. I'll reveal my entire roster then. By the way, this thing's called the Autumn Friendly, right? Yeah. That's what I'm in. I probably should have mentioned the name way earlier!

Also, Kitty, don't you dare mention any of my Pokemon until then. You're like the only one that knows more than one...more than two of the Pokemon I'll be using. One of them is a given.
