Pokemon Season 1/Indigo League Gym Battles

I love how Ash doesn't even win half of these battles by actually defeating the gym leader, but gets badges because of his good character/deeds. It's actually really funny looking back on it. Now he actually wins all of his badges by beating the gym leader, but it's not as entertaining to me for some reason.

Your thoughts? XD.
