What are you talking about?

I watched the episode, and they clearly pronounced it with a "ta" sound.

@Eitarou; Wait, what? My little brother was watching the English dub while I was doing laundry, and I'm pretty sure they didn't pronounce the "ta". I'll check again, I guess...
The Japanese version said it right though.

A lot of people pronounce a double "t" as "d." It's perfectly correct.

@Jabberwocky; just because a lot of people do something doesn't make it correct. I hear a lot of people use variants of "would of", but that isn't correct either.

That's different. Phonetically, it's correct to pronounce "tt" as "d," whereas "would of" is not grammatically correct.

It's similar to "color" vs. "colour": both are correct.

@Jabberwocky; There's almost never a single "correct" way to say something phonetically... I was just surprised that they chose to pronounce the name Meloetta that way. I was expecting the pronounciation to sound closer to how it was in the original version, because that was [I]my[/I] idea of how it should be pronounced.
