So, I've just returned home from a house party in the other end of town. Don't get me wrong, I had a decent time... but recently when I have a few drinks, my patience and enjoyment for the whole thing seems to be wearing thinner and thinner. I drink, have a laugh etc then all of a sudden I hit a wall. It's like.. ''OK..I NEED to go home now.''

I spend the journey home thinking about how much I'd rather be sober and thinking 'am I too old for this now?'... I'm only 24.

I have a lot of real comforts in life, and a lot to be thankful for. All my comforts are things I've sought comfort in for years and out of all the things I'm grateful for...none have ever come from drinking. (I realise that may seem like a fairly obvious statement)

(as a side note... I wish Bulbagarden would fix it so that the red wavy lines stop appearing when I write 'realise.' I'm British... we don't spell it with a 'z.'

ANYWAY. My choice tonight was either to go to that house party... or stay in the flat and kick about watching TV and playing either Pokemon White or GTA 'cause my girlfriend is out with friends.

Kinda' wishing I'd chosen the latter.

Drinking is pointless.
