Long time no see, blog section! Anyway, I'm very bored and need an outlet from studying for finals (I'VE BEEN GOING AT IT FOR HOURS STRAIGHT AND I'M SO SICK AND TIRED OF REVIEWING ALL OF MY AP GOVERNMENT TERMS AGGGGHHHHH) Because of my sheer lack of enthusiasm about studying now, I'll just post my playlist for December! Didn't find any rules against this, so here we go!

1. Radioactive - Imagine Dragons. Without a doubt, this is my favorite song of 2012. Honestly, I can't think of a song that combines my two favorite genres of music as seamlessly as this song does. Plus, Imagine Dragons are always awesome.

2. Find What We're Looking For by Peyton Mackay. Local girl that's made a pretty sweet song. I've been listening to it quite frequently because, in my opinion, it's just an honest, pure-hearted song. This girl is a close friend of mine, and her voice is even more amazing in real life. Definitely check her out, you won't be disappointed.

3. Need Your Heart - Adventure Club Just a good old Dubstep song that I've been listening to recently. Not too fantastic, in my opinion, but still a catchy song that's been stuck in my head for quite a while. Not timeless either, and I'm fairly certain I'll be annoyed by it in a matter of days XD.

4. Disparate Youth - Santigold. Not quite sure why I really like this song, but there's just something about it that's kept me listening to it over and over. Heard about this one from a friend, and I've thanked her for telling me about it since I like it that much.

5. Bomba - Astro Bros. I've only heard this song a few times, but it's so intense that I've got to include it up here. It's pretty cool that this song is relatively unknown too, since it definitely deserves to be up at the top of the charts.

6. Primadonna - Marina and the Diamonds. OH GOD. MARINA <333 This is just one of her many songs that just won't leave my head! This is probably my favorite of her songs because of its attitude. Plus, it sounds nice, so that's gotta count for something.

7. Iron - Nicky Romero/Calvin Harris. FINALLY WE GET TO SEE THE HOUSE SIDE OF CALVIN HARRIS! This song's catchy, powerful, and lots of fun to listen to. Plus, the combination of Calvin Harris and Nicky Romero is fantastic, and they're two of my favorite artists.

8. Breathe Me - Sia. Such a sad song ;_; but such a beautiful one as well. Sia is an awesome singer, and this song really demonstrates her ability to do so much with so little.

9. Breathe Me - Sia (Butch Clancy Remix). Same lyrics, same general tune, but such a different song. I can't really decide which version I like more. This version makes the song into something much quicker and easier to listen to, but the previous version is just so raw. I dunno. I like them both.

I have a lot more, but I'm getting lazy, and I have to get back to studying. So yeah! For all those people out there that are dying to know what I've been listening to, here's my playlist!

<s>I don't even know why I did this and it just goes to show how utterly bored I am :p</s>

So, as it turns out, I did actually go to Saskatchewan. After a 24 hour drive in a crowded RV, I made it to a lake in North Saskatchewan, called Lac la Ronge, or something like that. The drive up was pretty uneventful, we just played cards, talked, etc.

When we got there, it was loads of fun. Even though it was a glacier lake and only like 55 degrees, there was still lots of things to do. We went on a lot of hikes on the various islands, and we came across smaller lakes on the hikes that were gorgeous. We went on boat rides, fished a little, played poker, all sorts of stuff. In short, I had a great time!

The ride down was the worst, though. For some reason, I had to sleep on the floor of the RV. Even though nobody had to sleep on the floor the way up and the seating arrangements were almost exactly the same, I was forced to curl up in a ball on the carpet floor. So I got zero sleep.

Then, in the morning, I got carsick. I spent the rest of the day feeling miserable as hell when I kept throwing up. Sorry to give you guys that visual, but it sucked.

After a horrible day, we arrived late last night. I fell asleep almost instantly, and just woke up about an hour ago.

While the trip was awesome and I had loads of fun, the car ride down was horrible. I'm trying to not let it ruin the whole experience for me, but I keep focusing on how horrible it was.

Oh well, it will all be better in a few days. Either way, I'm back! The party can now resume!

So I'm just making this post to say that I'll be inactive for around a week, starting tomorrow. There's no internet at the cabin we're staying in, so I'll be entirely disconnected.

So I went to a party on Sunday. Nothing much, just a couple of kids hanging out at a barbecue and sitting around the fire. Jumping on the trampoline, making s'mores, and all that stuff was included. Nothing too racy; for every kid, there was around five adults, so it wasn't out of control.

So, in an effort to escape the parental hovering, many of the kids left the house and headed to the park. We didn't have much in mind, so we just sat on the playground in boredom. We tried playing frisbee and basketball, but we soon found out that we sucked at both of those sports, so we quit.

About 15 minutes of boring passed before we actually started to do something. Half-sarcastically, half-entertainingly, we started a game of Lava Monster. You know, the one where you run around the play set trying to tag people with your eyes closed? Yeah, sounds like a great idea, right? WRONG.

For some reason or another, I kind of wanted to be it, so I was tagged on purpose. I wandered around on the ground, looking for a good place to crawl onto the play set (you can have your eyes open for this). Most of the people had made their way up to the highest tower, so I sighed, closed my eyes, and stepped on.

I knew that all the players were up a relatively short ladder, and, if I could get up there myself, I could easily tag a person. So, after several seconds of me slowly and carefully climbing the ladder, I got to the top step. Reaching around, I grabbed the handles with both my hands. I then launched myself forward, thinking that I would be able to touch someone before they pulled away.

And I launched myself --more specifically, my face-- right into a metal bar.

Obviously, the playground was built for children (what kind of playground is built for 17 year olds?!), so a metal bar would make sense. It would be able to give kids an extra place to hold onto as they were going down the ladder. But, for me, it was at just the right height to be able to smack the top of my forehead into it.

Of course, my friends freaked out, so they made me sit down for 10 minutes. I didn't feel funny or anything, at the time, so I didn't think much of it; I thought a girl just smacked her head. Yeah, it hurt, but nothing out of the ordinary was present.

We went back to the house about 15 minutes after I hit my head, and I was feeling just as fine as ever. I spent the rest of the night enjoying myself and forgetting all about the head injury. Even though I was a little wary, I went to sleep, which is a big no-no for serious concussions. None the less, I woke up feeling fine and went home right after breakfast.

It was only then, when I began talking to my dad, that I started to realize what had actually gone down at the playground. Apparently, I had called him about 4 minutes after I hit my head and had a conversation with him about when to pick me up the next morning. I have absolutely no recollection of this.

Then, when I started to think about it, I never remembered returning to the house. I just assumed that we walked back, but I have no specific memories of actually walking back. Everybody knows that I walked back with them, but I just can't remember it whatsoever.

So, after discussing with my dad for a little bit, I think I arrived upon some results.

What I had was a concussion. It was a rather minor one, but a concussion none the less. I then called my dad, had a conversation with him, and then hung up. After waiting for a couple more minutes, we walked back to the house where the party was at, and we continued on through the rest of the night as usual.

The things that I don't remember were filled in by my subconscious. Since I was not reminded of something that happened right after the concussion as the night progressed, I didn't fill in the blank, since I never remembered having it. Things like walking back home were simply assumptions made by my subconscious; how else could I have gotten back to the house? The rest, I just didn't need. My brain didn't know it was missing it, because it didn't know that it didn't know that it was missing it!

So what do you guys think? Do things like this really happen, or do I just not have a good memory whatsoever? Either way, I feel absolutely fine right now, so I don't think that it's going to affect me in the long run. I'm just a little confused, I guess. Will I ever be able to recover those lost 15 minutes of my life?

First of all, I had two finals today, so I'm stressed out to begin with. My math final was hard at some parts and easy in others, but it still took two whole hours. Spanish Final was directly after that, which was impossible for me. Then I just had a shitty rest of school, probably since I was so stressed out.

When I got home, I had a trade scheduled with my cousin's friend, so I did that. It was a simple trade, just a Growlithe egg for a Machop, and it went over smoothly. But the thing that pissed me off was that the Growlithe egg was a FUCKING SHINY. I've been searching for a shiny Growlithe/Arcanine for the past 3 months, and he still refuses to give it back to me. I've even offered him a shiny Lucario, his favorite pokemon, but he still won't do anything. Probably just to piss me off. Sadly, it's working.

Then, just a few minutes ago, after setting up a trade/trade back for an Electabuzz that I worked very hard on, some troll stole it. The way he/she/it did it was excruciatingly painful; at the very end of the selection process, he/she/it chose the "are you sure you want to trade?" then turned the power off. Awesome.

So now, I'm just trying to calm down and relax. Sitting outside in the sun with the laptop and a lemonade.

Sorry that you just had to read that rant...
