Planning to re-watch Pokemon!

I think I've decided to re-watch a particular Season of Pokemon. I've already finished re-watching the Advanced series and now I'm deciding between DP, which I stopped at some point OR the Original Series. I did finish Black and White and stopped at some point in Rival Destiny, but I prefer old Seasons than BW to be honest.

I hardly ever get tired of the old seasons. Absolutely drenched in Nostalgia. My vote goes towards the original series.

I like the older seasons in general more than the newer ones as well. I've definitely like things about DP and BW more than in OS and AG, yet I'm not as interested in them since a lot of the plots and ideas present in the OS and AG series are later rehashed and recycled in the BW and DP sagas, respectively.

I'll probably just watch the Original Series since I have not seen It in such a long time. I think Its best to go back and re-live those Episodes once again. I'm probably not going to watch the Orange Islands the Johto adventures because I really found those Seasons boring to watch. Maybe, I'll just skip ahead to Master Quest instead. Then after that, I'll be watching DP.

In my opinion, I think the writers nailed everything right in AG as well as DP. The downfall was BW, which honestly was a rehash of the OS to appeal to newer kids. They could have ended Ash's story at the end of DP, but instead, they just want to continue him. At this state, Ash is a boring character. I wish the writers could have gotten back to his AG days where he knows his shit and being mature.

I'd have to agree with you. The DP series was the best in terms of maturation and progression, as well as the employment of strategic battle tactics. I just felt like the characters themselves were lacking personality, and the humor wasn't there anymore. That's a charm I felt was lost in the transition from the AG series to DP series. Namely, the neglect of Brock.
