Bad Apple

So I just had a moment where I realized something about myself and Pokemon. I realized that the Pokemon that had gotten me at least a little bit interested in the series were always Dark-types. Back when I was around 2-5 years old, I saw the Jirachi movie and Absol was my favorite character. Then the Gen IV movies I had liked the most always had a Dark type as the main Pokemon (or a pokemon who looks like it would be a dark-type, such as Giratina). Zorua and Zoroark are the Pokemon that actually got me to care about the series, and they're dark types as well.

But the thing is that in the Pokemon games I've played, all of my best Pokemon for battles were always Fire Types, like my Arcanine, Volcarona, and Chandelure. So since I'm kind of connected to dark and fire types, would that make my ideal Pokemon a Houndour/Houndoom?
