God dammit why is everyone so sensitive?

Seriously, I've realized this a lot recently. I just say one word, or say something in a slightly annoyed tone, and they think I'm out to insult and flame on everything they love. What the fuck.
Like with my teachers, I just mention death once and they send me down to counselling because they suddenly think I'm depressed and suicidal. Or I say something when I'm a little frustrated and they assume I'm going to flip a table and punch a kid in the face. Then I just have to pretend that I'm emotionless so that they don't think I have behavioral issues.
Then on the internet, sensitivity is expected, but where I've been, it's way too easily triggered. Like I got into a small flame war about emo fancharacters only because I said that I don't like them all that much. Then the other person took that as "I hate everyone and my life is better than theirs". Then I started joking around with these other two users, but then they got angry because it turns out that they thought I was making fun of their little internet "romance". How the hell was I supposed to know they were together?
It's like EVERYTHING I say offends someone one way or another, and I'm just always stating my actual opinion and showing my sense of humor. What's ever been wrong with that? With the internet, it's somewhat expected, but in real life, WHO THE FUCK IS THAT OVERLY SENSITIVE?!
Everyone is too emotional, or I'm not emotional enough. Either way, it still sucks for me to say anything to anyone right now.
