I just finished my 12th episode of my PMD Let's Play, and I wanted some feedback. Namely, do I sound like I'm not talking as fast? Is this speed mostly acceptable, or should I slow down more?
I think your reading of the in-game text needs to have more clarity. If I click away from the video I'm not able to tell what you are saying. There's still a bit of mumbling when you read but it's a lot better than before. Maybe try reading each line as if you were reading it to a child, having to be clear, concise and entertaining to prevent you from boring them, making them lose interest or confusing them.
When you do a Let's Play I believe that you have to give a reason for people to watch. Some people do it with gimmicks but the main reason is the Let's Player's personality. People watch Let's plays for a variety of reasons but the mains ones are that they want to see a game played or want to see a LPlayer's reactions to a game. You need charisma and charm to connect with your audience and allow it to grow. If you're going to be silly, go all out and be silly, don't stop yourself halfway because you're nervous or shy. That'll just make the audience be unable to connect with you. Being genuine as a Let's Player is very important. Carve out your own niche, turn your weaknesses into strengths and see what works and what doesn't. If you fail you can always try again! How to Do a Let's Play - wikiHow has some nice pointers.
I wish you luck!
