Herbizarre

After some training in Route 31, I decided to go to the Violet City Gym. However it seemed the Gym Leader wasn't present and I have been advised to visit the outskirts of the City. I saw the Alpha Ruins on the way, which had a mystic feeling to it. I decided next to go to the Sprout Tower, which for some reason made Wallace dances around the main pillar.

Once inside, I battled many monks, most of which don't speak english or french, instead speaking in japanese, which confused me. It didn't bother Fritz as he battled through all those Bellsprouts. 2 Rattatas also tried to get a bite out of him while he couldn't even use a move, but Wallace got his back. After a voyage to the Pokémon Center and a bit of wandering into the Sprout Tower, Fritz and Bianca managed to level up to 10 after battling monks Edmond, Sonen and Baptiste, learning Astonish and Bite respectively.

I spotted Kirk, the random ginger boy, battling the Elder Scrolls of the Sprout Tower. Kirk shrugged off the monk's advice on treating his Pokémon better, thinking it's just a bunch of "âneries", or "Stupidities" in french. I then proceeded to battle the Elder myself. He sent out his first Bellsprout against Bianca. She managed to kill it, but she got hit critically and REALLY needed to be switched out. Fritz and Flint took care of the second Bellsprout and the Hoothoot respectively.

After getting the TM70 Flash, I grabbed an Escape Rope but instead of wasting it, I went down the Sprout Tower and battled 6 Rattatas, earning Bianca and Wallace their level 11 and 10 respectively. I then proceeded to heal my Pokémons and after getting informed of the Gym Leader being back into his Gym, I got myself prepared to confront the building.

Upon arriving there, I see an unusual elevator that goes WAY too fast and I almost broke my chin on the way up. I confronted the 2 trainers that were up there. Those guys are courageous to do a Pokémon battle on such a high place without any security. Parker could have died due to a well planned strategy consisting of lowering the Defense stat using Leer twice and using Fury Attack afterwards. After a Potion though, Parker took care of the other trainer rather nicely and earned his level 11.

After those battles, Falkner, the Gym Leader himself was awaiting for me. He knew I was looking for my first badge and so accepted my challenge. Falkner sent out his Pidgey Lvl 9, which Flint destroyed using Rock Throw. He then sent out his Pidgeotto Lvl 13, which got a lucky critical hit on Flint, though the Geodude survived it well. After a Potion and a failed attempt to outspeed the opponent using Rock Polish, he used Rock Throw out of anger, headshotting the Pidgeotto and killing it instantly, earning Flint his level 12. Falkner gave me the Zephyr Badge and told me to never come back at the Gym.

After exiting the Gym, Professor Elm calls me to keep the egg I carried back at New Bark Town. His assistant will be waiting a long time until I get that egg. I then got a call from my mom, telling me she bought a Super Potion. Thanks, mom ! I wandered around the town and found a Hyper Potion as well as a Red Shard and a Heartscale. Before putting the latter in my bag, I found this letter next to it :

"It doesn't matter if you are a criminal or not. You are my planet and I will be your little green man. Will you travel with me in my world ? -Christopher"
On the back, it was written : "Yes"

From the look of it, it seems like this is somebody's first time writing such a letter. It's still a nice thing to read nonetheless.
