1. Because this is my 42nd blog entry, and as we all know, 42 is the Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything.

2. Because I used the [sup] tag to get the "nd" in "42nd."

5. Because the numbering system is off, and so it is somehow inherently funny.
