Life's been getting stressful with exams and everything, so I've got to leave for now.

Before I go, I'd like to say thank you to a few people.

The guys at URPG, for being great friends and generally epic. Thanks to Joltik and MG for being great friends, and to Airik for being a rival for a short time. Thanks to all the vets too, who showed me the ropes pretty well.

To the Roleplayers. I've been annoying sometimes, and done the odd bit of god-modding here and there, but I'd like to say that I've had a great few months there. I love roleplaying, and hope that I can return soonish.

Also, I'd like my brother, AlphaMouse, to take on any characters that I'm using currently, if you're OK with that.

He will also run any RPs that I am currently running (which is just the RPrentice, I think (please join people!))

So Goodbye, and thanks for all the fish.

BlazeMaster, signing off.

Hi, everybody. I'm going to do a blog complaining somehow about an aspect of Pokemon that really annoys me.

This week I'm going to tackle Water Types. These Pokemon have annoyed me throughout the ages.

Water types make up an odd 17% of all Pokemon and every region besides Johto have at least one Water-type specialist, Hoenn having two. Neither of these figures particularly annoy me, I just felt like saying them.

I am a lover of Fire-types, which would traditionally make me hate the Water specimens. So maybe this is biased. So what.

Anyway, what does annoy me about water types then? I hear you ask.

In my opinion the games have given Water types too much power. 40% of all HMs are Water type, this gives them a monopoly over other types when it comes to early move learning. Get a Horsea egg, hatch it, troll everyone with Dive and Surf. Also the water type has only two weaknesses compared to four resistances. This annoys me as one of them is electric, a pathetic and weak race of Pokemon that should not be allowed to live, and the other is Grass, a disadvantage most water types can negate by quickly learning a move like Ice Beam or Sludge Bomb.

There are only five Pokemon that are doubly resistant to Water Types and, guess what, they're all part Water. Another thing that annoys me resistance-wise is their uncanny ability to suddenly aquire one weakness. Ground is the most commonly paired type to water, only leaving it vulnerable to Grass types, although quite badly vulnerable.

Now my biggest moan about Water types. I am a frequenter of the URPG boards and it constantly annoys me when someone takes out my Chimchar with one hit from Hydro Pump. What annoys me more is that they are Basic Pokemon. A quick comparison between two Starters.

Totodile: Moves include Hydro Pump, Superpower, Ice Fang and Thrash.

Now let's look at a Fire type counterpart, Charmander

Moves include: Inferno, Flame Burst, Flamethrower, Slash.

As we can clearly see, Totodile kinda has an advantage.

I am right, you are wrong, Black is White.

Thank you, I was BlazeMaster
