And here we go again! We'll start with the battle with Erika. Freedom led the charge on this one. Her first two Pokemon were taken out with a single Ember each. Vileplume, however, was tougher. It kept using Stun Spore, so it sort of became a battle of wills. It took two or three Embers, but Erika healed and Freedom needed healing as well. In the end, Striker was victorious.
The group now returns to Lavender, finally ready to face the tower. Of course, Blue is there,
And now for something completely (not) different! This episode features Eevee. =3 We will begin this chapter with our most recent captures.
Female Vulpix lv. 16
Captured on Route Eight
Male Eevee lv. 25
Given in Celedon City
Female Doduo lv. 18
Captured on Route Sixteen
And here we have the Vermillion Gym and the Rock Tunnel! This is also the last of my stock updates. Before tackling the gym, Striker decides to go and collect the Flash HM. This means a trip through Diglett's Tunnel. While this doesn't sound daunting, there are level 30+ Dugtrio in there with Arena Trap. They. Will. Mess. You. Up. This also means that somebody needs to learn Cut.
Grace is given Cut. For the time being, it benefits her attack stat, and we can also delete
And we have some more~ This time, we take on Misty and the SS Anne. So we left Striker preparing for the gym battle with Misty. Preparations included: raising the entire team to level 20. . . . That's all. Seriously.
Once this was achieved, Striker tackled the gym in earnest. The junior Trainers were handled fairly quickly using Grace's Vine Whip, although Patty handled the one Goldeen. That thing knows Peck and it wasn't worth the risk of Striker's only Grass-type.
And here's another update. These first three updates are older, so they'll probably come out quicker until I'm caught up. So we last left Striker and his team at the Cerulean Pokemon Center. Striker wonders around town for a while, fails to sneak past the police officer to see the crime scene, sulks, and steals a Rare Candy from some guy's flower garden. Hey, clearly the man threw out the window and didn't want it anymore. It clearly was not buried back there for safekeeping.
