Sitting here casually when I get a call from the bank, someones tried to withdraw an excessive amount of money from one of my bank accounts, and almost, ALMOST, got away with it.

I feel a little wee bit sorry for the guy on the receiving end because I was not in a nice mood after hearing that, but according to him I'm not the only one who's been having this issue. I'm one of 20 who've been notified in the past 3-4 weeks. It's kind of upsetting though because what kind of sick asshle would try to steal money from someone?!

Anyway, the thing which annoyed me most was it's someone from across the other side of the world. Not someone in Australia, the only person I could think of then is my ex-boyfriend who currently resides in the UK/England. Unless it's some random who managed to snipe my details off the internet, but I only internet-shop when I need to. Which is once in a blue moon, so, I'm staring down a thin barrel with my ex's face at the other end.

So, so mad right now. x_x all my accounts are frozen and being watched with a hawk eye, but, nevertheless I don't want this prick getting away with it.

    I feel your pain but consider your self lucky. Someone once cloned my debit card and was able to pull out $4000.00 dollars more than I had and it took more than a week for the bank to fix it. I can understand people trying to get money for nothing it's not right but I can understand it. What I don't get is how they got so much when I cant even get $20.00 dollars more than I have in my account.

    @Venom;

    Ah, that sucks. They told me they froze my account because the amount looked 'suspicious' and they noted it was from another country. It was $4700.30 and they said it was for flowers... like, they had ordered $4700 worth of flowers. After confirming it wasn't me, they're keeping my account frozen and secure until I go in to see them. It's so, so annoying though. argh. At least a lot of people have been in the same boat :/

    Sadly we are not alone this thing happens more often than it should. Well my theif was in another state. Las Vegas, Navada to be specific which should have raised flags concidering that at the time I was under 21.

    Sadly! I know some guy tried to steal $13,000 for a trip to Canada from my friend, :/ she didn't even have that much money in her account to steal, yet some guy tried.

    that's the problom with today's society - their parents don't raise them right, then they grow up thinking it's okay to steal from other peoples' bank accounts. i've lost even more faith in humanity for the love of Arceus!
