My biggest fear in X&Y

The encounter rate of Kalos Pokemon. I'm one of the few who's planning to go though the game with a party of only new Pokemon and the small number of Kalos mons and the large abundance of older Pokemon has me kinda worried that finding Pokemon for my team is going to be a hassle :/

There are 70 new Pokémon, you can only have 6 Pokémon in your team. Isn't it more than enough? The number isn't small at all.

It isn't the number of new Pokemon that's the problem about, it's their encounter rate amiss the older Pokemon. I don't want to spend hours running though grass looking for a new Pokemon for my team while finding nothing but Pokemon that i already have in BW waiting to be transferred to X&Y via Pokemon Bank.

That's a concern of mine, too. While I don't really mind the large dex too much at this point, I don't want to spend hours looking for a Pokemon I want to use because of the huge dex and everything in a certain area of grass is like 1% to fit everything.

I've heard they're "patch specific" or something like that. Like certain Pokemon appear in one patch of grass, and then they'll have some flowers next to it where some different pokes are and so on. If that's the case, it may make it easier. I'd just like it to be easy to find a certain Pokemon.

You can use GTS now without actually seeing the Pokemon.

Breed a couple Starters, get to trading, and boom!
