Code Geass: Akito the Exiled.

I finally watched the first OVA/film/episode today, and IT. WAS. AWESOME.

I absolutely love the original Code Geass and R2 (my second favorite anime series ever), so I had high hopes going into this. I am pleased to say that those hopes and expectations were well-met. It was perhaps a tad slow in some points, but I don't really mind, since it's the first part and they've got to show viewers what's going on, who's who, and all that.

Akito is a really interesting character, and his last line in the episode has me really intrigued (I won't say it because, you know... spoilers). Leila is a strong female lead and I like her, and Yukia... he reminds me of Rolo, and that makes me smile. I can't wait to see more of Yukia, along with his ally Ryou.

Oh, and Akito was so badass coming out of his Knightmare and fighting head-on towards the late-middle of the episode. ARGH, SO AWESOME!!

So, basically, if you liked the previous iterations of Code Geass at all, I highly recommend you go watch Akito the Exiled. I'm so ready for the second part to come out... even if I'm sure it will be quite a wait before English subs are available. XD

I'm not particularly a fan of the original Code Geass coughbecauseofLelouchcough, but I actually do want to see this one. I want to see Yukia, he looks interesting.

I've always wanted to watch Code Geass and also R2, but I've never really gotten around to it. And now this comes out :l I've got some major anime watching to do.

Btw how do you pronounce "Geass?" I always just imagine it as "Guyss" with emphasis on the "s," but I know that can't be the correct pronunciation :X

    It's pronounced like "Gee-Ahs," with the G being a hard G.

And yep, you've definitely got some anime to be watching. ^^
