I think I've finally decided on what I want to major in for college! And it's about time, since I'm already a sophomore.

*Cue Drum Roll*

ENGLISH! I think I'll major in English. Why, you may ask ~~or probably not, because really, who cares? XD~~?

Because contrary to how I used to approach literature readings and things, I have actually grown to somewhat... enjoy reading various old works. That poetry I used to despise? Well, now I don't mind it, and even kind of like some of it (like William Wordsworth, Lord Byron, and Percy Shelley). Those massive Victorian novels I dreaded reading so much and whined about? Now I'm actually finding myself looking forward to finding out what happens next in Jane Eyre.

And I think I'm just naturally adept at analyzing fictional works. See, that's the thing. I was also considering history for a major, but I prefer fiction over non-fiction, thus leading to my current decision.

Also... I just found out I got a 100 on my English midterm. Not only did I identify every author and passage correctly, but my essay had NO CORRECTIONS on it. You can't even imagine how happy I was when my professor handed it back to me. XD

Hells to the yeahs. I'm in such a good mood right now, even German might not be as excruciatingly long-feeling as usual if this keeps up!

Yeah, that's what some of my family members have said too. ^^;

I kind of hope to be an editor or something of that sort.

I've read things like "Simon Lee," "We Are Seven," "Tintern Abbey," and some other things from his Lyrical Ballads book.

Congratulations FinalArcadia! A 100? Amazing! It's good to know that you know what you will do in your future. I FRIGGEN LOVE ENGLISH TOO! I took it at Advanced level. I wish to be a lawyer with it.

Congratulations FinalArcadia. Getting a 100 on a midterm is always awesome and it's great that you want to major in English as well. I'm an English major as well, although at the moment I've finished all of the English requirements and I'm just working on my regular requirements to get my degree. I just love reading, having class discussions and writing essays, although sometimes the writer's block would make it more difficult. I hope that you'll continue to enjoy the reading as well, especially when as an English major, you'll have nothing to do but read and write all the time by a certain point anyway.

Ahhh~~~ I love reading and writing essays as well! The more they food they'll give me, the more I'll eat it happily knowing that I'll improve! Do you have any stories that you would like to share? I'd love to read them!

Awesome. I loved 'We are Seven' back when I was doing A level. (Second favorite of his actually).

Right, I just asked an English grad I know and here's what she said:

- Teaching
- Research (which from the way she said it made it sound like making those articles I sometimes send you [or have at least once sent you anyway] only on Literature instead of cartoons).
- Internship in many companies if you get a excellent grade (which from the sound of it, sounds likely ^-^)

She did mention overs but those are all I can remember. Sorry.
