After going through the opening and getting to picking my starter, I chose Torchic to save Birch.
I thought the name was cute. After battling May and getting my Pokéballs, I proceeded to catch some Pokémon.
Yeah, I got bored with the Normal type run... so I changed to Steel... but I got bored with that too.
So! Lets do an Emerald Nuzlocke run. My Crystal run kind of... fizzled out. I was training for Red and I've yet to battle him.
No nickname schemes... just whatever comes to me. No specific natures either. I did my first run on Crystal because of natures, but I think I'll try it this time.
