Sometimes I swear…

…I hate living in Australia. Don't get me wrong! I love the people here, and my house, and being born here I can say I'm a proud Aussie.

But… But

All the games and consoles and books and movies and shows and concerts and toys and whatever-elses come out heaps later, if at all! And nobody cares about us down here. We're just "Land Down Under" and kangaroos.

I'm not saying this doesn't happen to anyone else… and I'm pretty sure it's just me, but it seems to happen to us the most.

So, unlike most of my rants and other speakings, this has a reason for being here.

If you know me at all, you'll know I'm a Potterhead. The last thing Harry Potter came out last year, Deathly Hallows Pt. 2. I have nothing else to look forward to…

The Woman in Black.

The star of both these movies is Daniel Radcliffe. I decided that I needed to see him as someone else other than Harry Potter. So I read the book in which the movie is based on, I waited months before I could get my hands on the book.

And it was good.

So now, I really want to watch this movie. The trailers killed me to say the least.

And so I waited. And waited. And waited.

But there is no wind of it over here! This depresses me dearly! The most I've seen is "no release" from the end of August last year, and then "release date to be confirmed" from October…

IMDb has listed release dates from as early as 2nd Feb to as late as 27th April, and Australia isn't listed! Although, this may have changed, I can't find it again… Why must you fail me!?

So, in the end, I'm dying of anticipation. If anyone could tell me anything, anything at all… you win the Internet.

Thanks for reading, and if you've read all of this you get a Pokemon shaped cookie of your choice.

Thanks again!

I pick Snorlax for my cookie. Better be actual-size.

Anyway, I agree. Us Aussies do tend to miss out on a lot of things. Of course, there are places that have it worse. New Zealand for example - they pretty much get what we get, but sometimes not even everything we get.

Yes I agree. We just seem to get things a lot later than the rest of the World. But you know what? That's cool. It means we'll appreciate it more when it finally arrives because we had to wait for it. It's not all negatives :D

sooo should I mention that u.b. funkeys! a computer game that has collectable figures that let you expand the world, though stopped production, the third series (got up to series 5) was rare enough in Australia, then the next series came America. not in Australia. I waited days, months and now it's been 4 years and nothing, the game was cancelled, but I waited, hope in my heart that I could find a way to get the figures, my mother says to grow up from them. I played the game recently, I loved it. I still have the figures in a box on my shelf. I'm seeking attention as you may think. I' agreeing with Clock-work on their point of Australia getting the best stuff late and maybe not even getting them at all. :*( oh and I know about e-bay, but my dad doesn't really trust them. so yeah.
