Well fuck, now what?

So for those who don't know, my website VictorySeekers is in the process of moving. The provider it's on right now is going to destroy 90% of the coding we have on it, including an extremely important code needed to run it. I'm slowly transferring everything over from the old provider to the new one and reorganizing everything, and among the new things I'm doing to it is changing the chatbox. This is for several reasons:

The Chatango box we have uses Flash Player, which inconveniences people who use mobile devices almost exclusively. As most of our events take place in the chatbox, mobile users are at a pretty big disadvantage and are deterred from our site because of that. Our new chatbox, a Cbox.ws, does not use Flash, and thus we'll be able to get more traffic.

Chatango's messages are just too big. Even if I shrunk the box the messages and borders between messages would still be the same size, and the box will be cramped. Cbox.ws is is more compact and looks better in the place where we have it.

Chatango is also notorious for crashing for no fucking reason. Short of you getting knocked offline or a server problem on their end, a Cbox.ws won't go down.

There is one thing Chatango has over cbox.ws though, which is why I wanted it in the first place.

Chatango gives you everything but a couple of toys for free. Aside from an extra line of smilies and the ability to color your post backgrounds, Chatango doesn't charge people for its use. Cbox.ws on the other hand, will only give you a bulletin board that you can color and adjust size on. If you want to ban people/autorefresh/assign mods/whatever, you need to buy a subscription for it. I don't have the money to do this, so I have to try to raise it somehow.

I was hoping to open up a shop on Sylestia, a really awesome petsite *my ID is 4555 if you decide to register*, and sell my spriting skills there. Except the kind of spriting I do isn't exactly conventional. There was a rule in their art shop section that I was unsure of in regards to my type of art, so I PMed the admins, described what I do, and asked if I would be allowed to sell my skills for USD. And I got this:

I'm okay if you want to sell stuff like this for ingame currency, USD however I would not be comfortable with.
I totally understand this, I have no hard feelings about it. If I did, I never would have asked about it in the first place. I still love the admin who gave me the answer, and I still love Sylestia dearly, but now I need a plan B.

    If that's the case, Chatango is still better. I guess you want mobile users to enter too, but not having to pay is important.

    @BlueWartortle Not gonna happen. Chatango is too bulky. Even if I shrunk the box itself the message content would be the same size, and it would be extremely cramped.

    How much money must be gathered in how much time?

    Oh, I see... Well, I have no clue, you should ask someone who has already done something like that.
    For example, BMGF itself had a hard start.

    @BlueWartortle well, it's $6 for 3 months, $11 for 6 months, and $20 for a year. I have $2 right now.

    Have you tried an Ajax chat?

    Well, if it is that much per user, it's a huge problem.

    @BlueWartortle Oh heavens no! No those prices are for the cbox itself, not it's users. The upgrade simply makes it autorefresh, assign mods, ban people, etc.

    @33Whimsicott33 No but I am trying an IRC. I like it so far but it cuts my net out every so often. I'll try Ajax.
