Fox Tales in the Garden

So today I turned 21. Hooray! I`m having a LOT of fun today, from my awesome friends at VictorySeekers to my awesome sister to the awesome people of Bulbagarden (who won't freaking leave me alone, EVERYONE is wishing me a happy birthday and chatting with me XD Not that I mind ^^), it's definitely a birthday to remember.

I also found out that the game based on the old legend of the Slenderman, Slender, is actually a free downloadable game. I shouldn't be surprised, given what I`ve seen of the game in LP's and whatnot, but I was when I looked it up for @mwto when she asked about it. I had told her about the game and showed her an LP where someone got their mom to play it, and was curious as to whether or not the game was something you could buy. Curious about how to go about obtaining this game myself, I decided to look for it for her, shocked that she did want it. I swear, there's something wrong with this chick XD Love her anyway~ <3

So after I found a download and gave it to her, I found myself tempted by the link. Now, I had promised myself after doing a lot of research that I would NEVER get the game for a variety of reasons *the most prominent one being in the spoiler, in place for those who'd rather find out firsthand*, but I decided that since the game was free, I`d go ahead and try it.

Even if you collect all 8 pages, you still die. There really is NO winning the game, unless you count watching credits as winning.

Why did I do this? I`ve been freaked out the last few nights, curled up under a big, fluffy pink kitty blanket with a stuffed snake wrapped around me while clinging to my cuddle pillow and baby blanket because I overdid it on Slender LPs *damn you KaiserNeko and Lanipator of TeamFourStar! How dare you two be so freaking hilarious in your LPs!* which I watched at like, 2 AM and had been terrified of the Slenderman ever since.

But I figured my Slenderman anxiety wouldn't come into play if I played the game during the day, which I am doing right now on and off while I wait to go out to my birthday dinner. So I downloaded the game, set the perimeters, and started playing the infamous game for the first time.

And promptly walked RIGHT INTO THE DAMN THING as soon as I got two pages. I wasn't freaked out by this actually, more like amused. After it happened I started talking to my friends and said "I GOT TWO PAGES AND THEN WALKED INTO THE MONSTER! I`M THE BEST SLENDER PLAYER EVAR!" and we're all laughing about it. Then I tried again, got two pages, and promptly got lost. I decided that I was gonna go FIND the monster. Taking a page out of Lanipator's book, I went looking for it, and magically got back on the path, found the third page, and THEN I found the monster. Go figure XD

And so here I am now, sitting in my freaking awesome recliner, writing this blog entry and chatting with a fellow bulbagardener about Slender and how much it freaked us out. In about an hour or so, I`m gonna go out to dinner with my parents and enjoy some freaking awesome chinese food at the best chinese food buffet I have ever been to, and then I`m gonna settle down with my sissy and hang out with her.
