Hooray Pokemon is Still On Today!

Back when I was a chitlin and going to school, I relished every opportunity I had to stay home. Sometimes it would be too cold/snowy to run the buses, sometimes the family had something better in mind *yay vacations!*, and sometimes I would be too sick to attend. I have a badass immune system, so I more often than not faked my sickness to get out of going to school that day. Don't look at me like that, as a powerful figure in a major religion once said, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone!" Be honest, who here has NEVER tried to fake being sick to get out of going to school?
ANYWAY other than the aforementioned three, the best way to get out of school is a National Holiday! I`m talking Christmas/Hanukkah, Memorial Day, MLK Day, Easter *only applies to the more christian communities though*, Labor day, and all the other holidays we get out on that I`m too tired to think of.
Getting out during a holiday is like the best thing ever. I mean, you don't get penalized for it in the form of extra homework, unless you have a douchebag for a teacher *I`m looking at you, Big Bird*, nor do you have to give up a day or two from your summer vacation to make up for the day.
The only downside to getting out on a holiday, are the holiday specials on TV. I mean, I didn't mind the holiday specials too much, I even LOVE some of the christmas movies, my favorite being The Christmas Dinosaur. However, sometimes networks go overboard on it, and instead of airing their normal shows, they`ll re-air a movie they just played 5 hours ago.
And thus we come to the title of this thread. I was worried that, like all national holidays, all the networks were gonna be obsessing over movie marathons and special shows. While that is true for the most part *much to my annoyance, I want my damn Animal Cops!* I am relieved to find that Boomerang will still be airing pokemon like normal. At least, according to my DTV schedule it will.
Now don't get me wrong, my obsession with the anime isn't as intense as you think. I really wanna watch this because it's the Advanced Generation Saga. I can't begin to tell you how long it has been since I`ve seen Ash travel with Brock, May and Max through Hoenn and Kanto. I think the last time I saw the Hoenn gang was when CW still had the rights to show pokemon some years ago. AG is with no doubt my favorite Saga in the anime. Why? Well there are multiple reasons that I won't go into at the moment. Right now though, I just want the Nostalgia. I want it so much I am capitalizing Nostalgia.
I think I am going to do an analysis of the arcs of pokemon similar to what @Karamazov is doing with the characters. No seriously, you should read his character Analysis blog posts. They are as bawse as Sneer, and THAT is saying something. You WILL read his character analysis blogs!
And there is my obligatory friend-reference. You're welcome. In all seriousness, I WOULD like to give a good report on the many arcs of the anime. This next part has nothing to do with this Entry, so it'll be under a spoiler to help keep you on track.
Anyway, so I`ll be getting my Hoenn fix today, and after that I`ll post the first part of my Arc Analysis.
Anyone else have this problem with holidays though? Of there being NOTHING but the same exact movies/specials over and over again? Or do you go out more?
