The fans of it are becoming insufferable. They seem to be laboring under the delusion that anyone who's favorite Zelda is Ocarina of Time or any other Zelda is a sheep who can't appreciate a real game. Also the idea that Skull Kid, a oneshot villain is more worthy of being in the next Smash Bros. game than someone like Megaman or Ridley.

MM is my favorite, and I don't feel that way about the other games and their fans. In fact, TP and LA are quickly catching up with MM in my favorites list.

So you saw the unofficial Smash Poll haven't you? Skull Kid doesn't deserve to be on the list, yet the N64 Zelda fanabase is much larger than the rest of the Zelda titles' fanbase.
