Deep beneath the ground the two duelists stared at each other as they shuffled their decks. One, a duelist of darkness, the other one of light. The Infernal monsters and the Constellars, everything they had fought for would come down to this. They looked around, taking in their surroundings, a dark and gloomy tomb, rumored to have been where the King of Games had had his most important duel. They both activated their duel disks and smiled. It was time for the finals!
Finals: @Chaosj2; VS @Mizuhashi;

Meanwhile, back on the surface the other duelists were heading down, but two of them stopped and looked at each other. They had both come so far, and they knew they were of equal strength….or were they? They could not be satisfied without knowing, and thus the two prepared for their own duel.
Battle for third place! @Doctor jokool; VS @Haruto Tenjo;

That’s right, finally reaching and end! After this duel, we will know who will get the super secret prize which I may or may not have remembered to make. Let’s do this thing!

The four remaining duelists sat inside of the dining hall in a castle as they stared at each other. They had all been through so many battles, and were each quite powerful. They could hear the sounds of cheers coming from outside as the announcer did his job and well...announced what was going on.

"Well then, I think its time for us to move onto the main course."

The young man with glasses clapped his hands as a bowl of soup was brought to each person, and they all began to eat, not taking their eyes off each other.

"Inside the soup are spheres containing a letter, the letter tells you which opponent you will face ne- Hey, are you listening to me!"

The other three had begun searching through the soup with their hands, searching for their spheres. The young man sighed as they wasted their soup.

"I got a star! What does that mean?" A young girl was staring at her paper, she had done much to get here, having taken down her own sisters to reach this point.

"I got...what the heck is this, 'fin'?" Another young man looked at his slip. He had blown past many of his opponents, truly a force to be dealt with.

"T-that's what people call me...tell me, do you know anything about stars?"

"Stars, I guess its about my constellars, guess we're gonna have to duel?"

"WOO I GOT MY SLIP!" One of the other duelists stared at a blank piece of paper. After having faced many of his friends in battle, he had moved on not based on their good will, but his own strength, the power of his dragons.

The host was gulping down his soup, he refused to waste his meal, did they have any idea how much he had paid for this? He stopped eating once he felt something in his throat, before coughing out a sphere which opened up to show a dragon.

"I guess I know who I'm up against...." He had faced many challengers, and friends, but had taken them down one by one. He didn't know what to expect as he looked at the dragon boy, another of his friends, a frequent sparring partner at that. "Oh boy..."

The four stood up as they walked out onto the arena, it was a replica of the one used during the legendary duelist kingdom tournament. They were all ready, not to make history like on that fateful day, but to have some fun and intense duels.

tl;dr: The next matches are:

@Chaosj2; VS @jokool;
@Mizuhashi; VS @Rio Kamishiro;

You guys know the rules and may the stronger duelist win! <s>Fin, I have no idea what kind of deck yours is :lol:</s>

High up in the sky, inside a giant blimp eight duelists sat around a dining room table eating food. They had all earned it. The host, eyed everyone and smiled as he held a chip up to the monster on his shoulder. It was Infernity Avenger. Another duelist was sitting atop Grapha as she received glares from a few other duelists, namely another young man sitting next to a blue haired duel spirit. Next to them was another young man atop a dragon, and he seemed to enjoy watching his Red-eyes Darkness Metal Dragon eat its food. There were also a few girls sitting around some food glaring at each other, mumbling something about Tron and vengeance. One of them had Genome Heritor at her side while the other was next to Hope. A young man was enjoying his food as he contemplated the coming duels and passed a plate of food over to Neos. The eight was a young man next to Winda, smiling as he looked at his cards. The host looked out the window and managed to see a lone duelist outside, he had gotten himself kicked out of the airport for some unknown reason, oh well.

"Looks like we are the top eight, and as such elimination rounds will begin. In order to determine our opponents I have this machine!"

The table split in half as a large machine was raised. It had eight numbered balls flying around inside a large glass sphere. Next to it were a few glowing panels showing each duelist's face, meaning this was how they would be assigned opponents, by random lottery. The host smiled as the spheres continued to spin faster and faster, until the glass broke and a ball flew at each duelist, hitting the host right in the face.

"Ow, but I think everyone got a number now, so lets see who will duel whom..."

1 @HumanDawn; VS 2 @jokool;

3 @Chaosj2; (why did I mention myself?) VS 4 @Truthseeker4449;

5 @Mizuhashi; VS 6 @Railgun of Gusto;

7 @Rio Kamishiro; VS 8 @FinalArcadia;

The duelists all looked at each other and smiled, it seemed some of them would be getting their wish as to whom to face next. They all moved into another room where the stadium was, a large platform indoors. There were seats where the rest of the duelists which had already lost were enjoying an all you can eat buffet. Some cheered, while others sulked, but either way, the duels were about to get underway.

I assure you that these duels were assigned randomly using random name pickers despite how hilarious it seems. Same rules as last time, Match best 2 out of 3, OCG and TCG allowed with rulings in favor of TCG ones, and loser posts screenshot(unless I witnessed the duel and there is at least one other witness to back me up). There is also a new rule. Which ever deck you choose to run is the one you will run for the rest of the tournament. You are allowed to slightly alter your deck, but not alter it to the point that it is a completely different deck. Example: replacing a monster with a spell for better consistency is allowed. Changing every monster so that the deck takes on a completely different play style is not. Since I'm no expert, basically you will all be expected to perform with the same archetype as the one you pick for your match against your current opponent.

Happy dueling for all, and once your duel is over say the name of the deck you used, if it has no name come up with one :D

Also the duels for the next round will also be randomly generated so don't get any bright ideas.....

The duelists all came together in the center of town, looking at each other. They had seen each other many times before, some of them were even family and close friends, but this tournament was to pit them against each other. Before they could say anything to each other, a loud roar filled the air. Looking up, the duelists saw a helicopter, with a young black-haired boy with glasses looking down towards them. He seemed to be trying to say something, but the helicopter was too loud. Frustrated, he took out a megaphone and threw it at the pilot, causing the helicopter to swerve and crash into a nearby tree. Thankfully nobody was hurt, and the boy jumped off, landing on his face. Despite being in pain, he tried to speak.

"Welcome to the first tournament! You have all been put in groups of three, pools as I call them, and will duel those in your pool. It might seem uneven, but it should be said, I will be in the tournament as well!"

The boy took out four flyers saying who would be in which pool and the duelists all looked at each other and ran around, preparing for their duels. Of course they trampled the poor host, but he smiled, things would be getting interesting soon.
You guys now know which group you're in, and you will duel each person in your group once. It will be a match with siding, and the loser will post the result. Winners get 2 points, draws earn both 1 point, and losing awards 0 points. Once everyone is done their matches we will move onto the next round. If for some reason you are unable to duel, please inform me and I'll give your group and extension. Gusto already told me that he will not be able to duel this weekend since he's in a plane, but come Monday should be able to duel. One last thing, could everyone who is in the tourney tell me who their favorite duel monster is? No repeats, and I have my reasons for asking :I

1) You have to be a bulbagarden member(kinda obvious I’d think or else how can you sign up?)
2) Format will be both OCG and TCG cards, with preferences towards TCG rulings if they conflict.
3) Bring your own pancake mix.
4) Games will be Advanced Matches with siding(rated or unrated, up to you guys).
5) Please no cheating, this is a children’s card game with no real prize so if you feel you have to cheat….I honestly feel bad for you.
6) The loser of the match will post a screenshot of their screen saying they lost, this is not to humiliate the loser, but to make sure people don’t make fake winning screenshots. In case you know of other online dueling programs, we’re using dueling network :I
7) To sign up post below and say which rule seems completely random, it’s to make sure you actually skimmed the rules and are now held liable :D (hint: it’s not this one :P)
8) If someone disconnects, up to you guys to solve the dispute, normally I’d say disconnects=forfeit but many users I think would enter have proven to have poor connections/crappy computers.
9) Have fun!

Sign-ups close December 8th sometime, though I’m not really a stickler for things like that so you might be able to get squeezed in unless I already have the round one match ups posted :P

Figured I’d make one of these despite my lack of actually accomplishing anything in my first year XD

First of all, I figured I’d say that these forums have been really cool, a whole year and I’ve yet to run into any members I just can’t stand or sympathize with, that’s a big thing since in most forums I’ve been in I find at least one person I hate within a year.

Secondly, I want to say thank you to all you peoples who’ve helped make this place feel like a much more open and awesome place. I’m not that good at well, writing things like these so I’ll integrate this with a brief what I did in this year thing. Though your sections may be short, know that my emotions aren’t…..wait…did that make any sense?

First when I joined, I was initially interested in the KPU, but yeah, it sorta shut down real quick after my joining. I then just floated about the place, having no real place to hang out and stuff, until I finally decided to work on a fic. I posted up chaps and stuff, then admittedly, I’m not sure what happened.

I think by looking at the VMs I have, @Legacy; reviewed my fic and then asked if I could review his. I thank him for that, since it let me see his fic which I became a fan of. One of my goals is to eventually be as good an author as him, but I want to do it with my own style, which might make things tougher for me but I’m sure I’ll make it if I don’t give up.

After that, I honestly have no idea how, or why, but @Stellar Gale; asked me to review his fic, and I did, finding another awesome fic. Moral of the story, Writer’s Workshop is full of amazing authors, most of them better than me, which at times can discourage, or boost motivation, not sure how that works yet.

Anyway, after I did that, I asked if he could review my fic, and he understood my Bakuman reference. Dare I say I instantly wanted to befriend him? Bakuman is awesome, and thus everyone who likes it is awesome (doesn’t hurt that he’s also an awesome writer and one of the people I aim to eventually catch up to). So basically I spent a long period of time hanging out there, reading and reviewing until I sorta started to drift into the F&G section.

After a while it was just nonsense everywhere, which I like. I barely knew who was who, until one day I found a link to the Planetary Pitstop(awesome social group everyone should join). There I met other people I could actually laugh and goof off with, with an even larger disregard for logic and sanity. I tend to interact with the most active members there and thus I should bea able to say moreish, but I suck so very little could actually be put in words XD.

@Caprizant; this guy, just…..hilarious. He’s funny, clever, witty, and a fair tyrant. He’s also an awesome author and I think everyone should read his fic.
@Nfinity; she’s so darn nice, sweet and innocent, glad she and Cap got together, t’was meant to be <s>don’t even try to deny it cap, it’s canon now man</s>

@jokool; D-d-d-d-d-d—dueling buddy! Jokool is a fun, awesome guy to be around. He knows what to say and when, and has lots of self control me thinks. He’s also a great artist and very creative. Jokool, I’d be your wingman any day……..no homo!

@Lief; Lief…where to start with you man, you were one of the first people I interacted with, and are still one of the funnest. Whether it be confusing you with references you don’t get, or random shenanigans, you tend to know what you’re doing. Though you have little self control, you’re beginning to develop it, which makes me think one day you may learn to live with TS in peace.

@Truthseeker4449; Where to start? You are a self-proclaimed psychopath, a murderer, a monster, and hilarious to mess with. You claim to be a 500(?) year old soul reaper with who knows how many abilities, but seem to be learning what g-modding is and how to avoid it, which make fighting you much more fun. Honestly, I have little more to say about you besides fighting and your infatuation with most machines with big engines.

@Lima yeah, I forgot your new username and was too lazy to look it up XD. You are a fun moogle to have around, and giving you that new body was fun. All I can say right now is….you and Jokool, I support.

@EVERYOTHERMEMBEROFTHEPITSTOPIDIDN’TMENTIONBYNAME; There are simply too many of you for me to write down stuff about. Jack and Pyra drive me insane with their bromance which isn’t romantic but platonic and….now I’m confused XD. Despite that, they are awesome people to goof off with. Kakuna Matata isn’t a passing craze, and a very nice person. Her wall posts are of course very enjoyable. @Water Max;, despite not being active there, is a great ally in any F&G counting game (I was addicting to one of em for a time and he helped plan things out and I’m sure he got a cutie mark out of it XD.). TheCapsfan, I don’t know you much yet, but so far, I think getting to know you little by little will be fun XP.

That’s about it I think. Was a fun year and I hope for many other fun ones. May the Dunsparce be with you and all that. Obviously I was too lazy to mention everyone, but hey, I decided to mention random people, sue me.

At this point, I’m starting to get sleepyish. So I’ll unveil my new avi!

Welp, I recently updated my fic after having sat down to think about how to work on the pacing. At first I wanted to get rid of anything useless to the plot, but then found that every part helped develop Chaos in one way or the other, helping to set him up for the ending I have planned for him. Then I realized that I was looking at it all wrong. I was thinking that the problem was I needed was to have ‘more stuff in less time’ but what I really needed was to have ‘more time in less stuff’. I sat down and spent five minutes working on how I could do that before I realized that concept made no sense. I leaned back in my chair and then decided to have some food. Hot dogs if I recall correctly, and a marshmallow or two. They were great, but made me thirsty so I made some iced tea to wash it down then sat down to watch some television. Afterwards I read some manga. At that moment everything became clear.

Why did I just give a long jumble of words instead of going to the point? Because the jumble is the point! I was thinking that the pacing was wrong for a story about becoming a powerful trainer, when the story was actually a story about a journey. My goal isn’t to say how he accomplished this or that, but about that year he spent traveling, meeting new people, broadening his horizons, learning from others and teaching them as well. It might seem like I’m taking a roundabout path to get to the point, but the roundabout path is the point! Okay, now I’m being redundant, and THAT is not the point.

I've also been working on two other oneshots, a happy babysitting adventures one and a darker toned one. I wonder which I'll finish first? I have yet to begin working on my next theory chap though so I should work on it......Lately, I've been focusing my mind on a project based on what emotion I'm feeling at the moment so who knows what'll come out next.....My money is likely on the darker one considering all the dark/sad/angry music I'm listening to.....

Welp, since I'm here I might as well complain about writer's block. It's eeeeeeeeeeeeevil. I have my outline written for the next chapter of Chaos Theory, but each time I sit down to write the visions just don't come. I blame english for making me write research papers and draining my desire to write....but then why am I doing this? Oh yeah, cause it doesn't require me imagining actions and stuff. Well I figure I'm wasting somebody's time, and for that you should thank me, what would you do with so much time? Find a cure for cancer? Not on my watch!
