Like Marowak !
I mean , What the point of having this ability if that Pokemon hardly can use any recoil attack ?

Because it has a bone helmet. Marowak should learn more recoil moves to make use of it, but the fact that it has this ability makes sense.

Marowak does get Double-Edge, which is nice, but something like Head Smash would be awesome, I agree.

And no, Rock Head is the only thing that cancels recoil in the entire series of games.

Marowak learning Flare Blitz would be Nice since they can Fire type move through TM!

While that would be nice, it would also be a little too overpowered. Plus, Marowak wouldn't get the STAB that fire Pokemon get when using Flare Blitz.

Too overpowered? Marowak has base 45 speed, he's an NU pokemon. Giving him Flare Blitz would move him to RU at best.

If Pokemon like Cranidos or Rampardos had the ability Rock Head, that would make them super-overpowered with their super-high base Attack stat AND STAB from Head Smash. Still... I don't see why they can't have it because they literally have Rock-based heads... ;_; Marowak is no different - it has a bone skull on top!! Can't it count as a Rock Head?

How would that make Rampardos overpowered? All it would do is negate a little bit of recoil damage. The pokemon still has a base 60 Def, 50 SpD, and 58 speed, it would easily go down regardless of whether it takes recoil or not.

STAB isn't everything though. Scizor doesn't get STAB on Superpower and lots of competitive battlers use that.

That is because it is the only way scizor can get a good hit on steel types which wall it otherwise. Marowak can already hit most steel types with eq.
