Video Game Challenge: Day Five

Today's challenge thing is determining which character you feel you're the most like.
So for this one, I've got one I feel like is a lot like me. It's a shame I don't like her very much.
Far from my favorite character in the Tales series (not even my favorite Eternia character), I am nonetheless very like Farah Orested.
You see, Farah is always eager to help, always ready and willing to help someone in need. I, myself, am always eager and willing to be helpful to anyone I can.
I wish I could say it's out of the kindness of our hearts, for both of us.
Farah and I both have cripplingly low self-esteem. We both feel worthless due to things that are our fault (or, we at least perceive are our fault). Because of our low self-worth, we try to derive our own self-worth from helping others. If we can make up for everything we've done wrong, maybe we can finally not feel guilty anymore. Of course, as she realizes in Tales of Eternia, and I realized in my own life, you can't always hold yourself responsible. You can't control every event, and you aren't the sole cause of everything. But still, we want to help people. Maybe a little too much.
At least I haven't dragged my friends into a strange quest to randomly help someone... I think.
