1: What did you do in 2012 that you’d never done before?

I fell in love.

2: Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

I don't know if I made any resolutions this year. I want to learn how to be less forgetful in the next year, and I want my life to be more secure and stable.

No.

4: Did anyone close to you die?

Yes.

6: What would you like to have in 2013 that you lacked in 2012?

Peace. Lasting happiness.

7: What dates from 2012 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

January 4th, the day my dad died, and December 25th, when I saw snow for the second time in my life.

8: What was your biggest achievement of the year?

I started putting my ideas for the future in a note book.

9: What was your biggest failure?

I completely ruined my first relationship.

10: Did you suffer illness or injury?

Not really.

11: What was the best thing you bought?

I have no idea.

12: Whose behavior merited celebration?

My mom's.

13: Whose behavior made you appalled?

Just about everybody's. My brother should be given special aknowledgement.

14: Where did most of your money go?

Music.

I dunno.

"Green Eyes" by Coldplay.

Sadder. Fatter, but only because I got bigger. Richer, but only because my dad died.


18: What do you wish you’d done more of?

Saying no.

Letting love and all it brings get in the way of everything.

20: How did you spend Christmas?

In Texas with my immediate family, my maternal grandparents, and my uncle, aunt, and cousin. I played in the snow for the second time in my life. We played a gift exchange game my uncle made and then I listened to my new albums and wrote in my note book for a while.

21: Did you fall in love in 2012?

Yes, with a friend I made over the year. I don't think I'm still truly in love with her, but she still means everything to me.

22: What was your favorite TV program?

The Walking Dead.

23: Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?

I don't know.

24: What was the best book you read?

World War Z by Max Brooks, in April.

25: What was your greatest musical discovery?

Too many to name. At the top would be Radiohead in January, though.

26: What did you want and get?

Some more freedom.

27: What did you want and not get?

A stable life.

28: What was your favorite film this year?

Donnie Darko, in March. The best movie ever made, in my opinion.


29: What one thing made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

I made a friend who became my first girlfriend, and when I ruined everything, she forgave me. She remains the closest friend I've ever had. I love her.

30: How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2012?

Band shirts and then fuck all.

My note book.

I have no idea.

I decided to give up trying to understand politics for a while.

My dad.
