Seriously. I don't understand this? This could improve the broken dragon type wins metagame, and I don't see how this makes Pokémon "girly". Remind you this the same series where girls play this game a LOT in Japan, has Pokémon like Piplup and Torchic, and is generally associtaed with "cute", and not "gritty dark fighting". And even though trainers faint Pokémon every single day, STILL. Do people think Pokémon is trying to attract the girl audience with fairy types? Why is this a problem? Why? How? It adds NOTHING- I REPEAT, NOTHING, TO POKÉMON'S STATE. Sure, this gives trolls more bait, but I don't see this as a problem, at all.

Pokémon is for EVERYONE. Not just men, children, and even young women, EVERYONE.

    ? Uhhh okayyy?

Personally, I like the fairy-type because it was made to nerf dragons. I can't wait for other fairies to appear - especially if Mismagius is confirmed to be ghost/fairy.

I don't like Sylveon because of the magical-girly feel, admittedly. But then again, I'm not a fan of Eeveelutions in the first place(Umbreon is the only eeveelution I like). The fairy typing itself doesn't have anything to do with it.

Blame disney for the fairy=tinkerbell feel lol

Yeah, fairies have always been linked to girls. How many males fairies do you know? Exactly. (Fairly Oddparents notwithstanding)

Oberon, king of the fairies, for one. Puck is another. Not to mention, there are many creatures that are classified as "fairy", and tend to be depicted as male. Technically, leprechauns are fairies, and they're almost exclusively male in mythology.

I'll just say that I'm glad people with such inaccurate views of folklore don't run Gamefreak.
