I recorded a video to test it out, and it's back.

If the player is in the area that the variable scoring is active, and flies or teleports to that same city or town, the variable scoring will be active until the music is changed, regardless of the player's location within the city or town. Likewise, if the player is in an area where the variable score is not active and flies or teleports to that city or town, the variable score will not activate until the music is changed.

Dont forget about the music bug found in the sewers when you team up with your rival...When you beat all the Pokemon in wild double battles...The music plays the trainer battle victory music instead of the wild battle victory music.

@MegamanDX; For some reason, I thought that was part of the game and not a glitch.
