Keitai Denju Telefang Power Version Fan Translation Part 1

Today, I'll play Pokémon Diamond Version.

Oh no, not that Pokémon Diamond, I mean this one:

But actually, I more or less mean this one:

Telefang Power Version! This game was made by Smilesoft - which sadly closed in 2003 - and was published by Natsume, who I believe made the Harvest Moon series. This game is perfectly fine...

...but bootlegers made this game look like a Pokémon clone. Pokémon Diamond and Jade had many glitches that was not in the original Keitai Denju Telefang Power and Speed Versions. Some colors were missing, and because of the god-awful Engrish (ex: Some points of 43 lost!), along with the save glitches, this game was not much fun for anyone who had Diamond or Jade.

A powerful fan community, however, made a fan translation to upsurp the horrible bootleg versions. It's incomplete, but I won't give out the link.

But yeah, let's start. I'm too lazy to post shit on imgur or tinypic, so for now, these little pics will do.

Let's be modest here, this looks neat.

A time system, similar to GSC.
The name system is stupid, as it uses a cellphone interface, as seen to the right.

OH DEAR GOD I THINK OF LEGEND OF ZELDA LINKS AWAKENING...AND POKEMON GOLD.

Next time, we might enter the Denju world...and shit. Yeah, sorry for the shortness.

Remember that it is dangerous when people playing with the base ball get the appointment to a world of the electric monsters!
    I mean, right, Telefang...
I've been curious about playing it myself. The "calling" mechanics sounds pretty interesting, and overall reminds me more of an old japanese digimon game I once played that couldn't figure how it worked.

However, reading the battle mechanics makes me think they aren't very good... at least in comparision to Pokémon (which honestly, kind of spoiled everyone). There's a pretty noticeable lack of attacks, and that they are the monster's type feels like a backwards step from any other RPG.
But on the other hand, the evolution trees are pretty neat. Much more complex and developed than pokémon. (Without being the crazy mess Digimon has)
