If you disagree, get out.

Anyways, I'll just say that I heard a lot of people say how VAs like Veronica Taylor are better than Sarah Natochenny and how the 4Kids VA's leaving "affected the show's performance".

No, it did not.

You see, if you were a typical 6-year old back in 2006, and you were watching The WB and Cartoon Network, and noticed how Pokémon was now airing on CN and not Kids' WB, would he be like "The VAs have changed? That sucks."? No. He'd still watch it until he actually noticed later on. The show's main audience - kids - probably have not noticed the VA switch, but may have noticed the channel switch, that would have affected the show's performance. Not the VAs, the channel hop. Unless announced earlier on. And this also did not affect the shows performance in it's Japanese homeland, since there was no VA switch to mention.

Another thing I feel like saying is how so many people want the original 4Kids VAs back. Two things. One, with this shitty economy, if the TPCi VAs got fired and replaced with the 4Kids VAs, how would they get a new job? Sure, as a new voice? Sure. But it may not happen. Another thing to note is how it is completely selfish to ask the TPCi VAs to get out in favor of the "better" 4Kids VAs. That's very selfish.

tl;dr: It didn't affect the shows performance for it's main audience anywhere, and wanting the 4Kids VAs back is completely selfish.
MizuTaipu and Gengarzilla like this.

I agree with some of what your saying, but I'm sure the target audience did notice a change in voices for the characters. Kids aren't that stupid.

I know, but I guess some would not care how the voices have changed.

I noticed how different Ash's voice was in the original series over time and that was when I was still in the target audience for the show, so I imagine that kids would notice a change. They may not know that the voice actors were replaced and they may not care about how it happened, but they probably could tell if a voiced changed or not, especially when the voice cast change for the Battle Frontier season was pretty jarring. I haven't heard people claiming that the voice change hurt the show's performance for a long time. I could kind of understand that kind of argument for the first couple of seasons after the change, but at this point, I doubt that any of the target audience has seen a lot of the 4Kids dub seasons to know that there was a different cast and have grown up with the TPCI cast, so I sincerely doubt that's affecting the show right now.

Personally I do like the 4Kids cast more and as much as I'd like to see them come back, I wouldn't want the TPCI to be put out of a job either after working on the series for a long time and especially in this lousy economy. Besides that, I kind of got over the cast change a long time ago. I still don't like that it happened and I would have preferred TPCI with just keeping the 4Kids cast, especially when 4Kids isn't in the position to be using their voice casts right now anyway, but at some point, you just got to move onwards, especially when there are more important things to deal with in life.

I think Sarah Natochenny is pretty good as Ash anyway. Sure, maybe not when she first started, but Chris Sabat wasn't exactly good as Vegeta or Piccolo when he first started.

See, when voice actors first start out, they're usually pretty bad at it. Maybe they're good at stage or screen acting, but voice acting is a whole other ball field. And, just like any other hobby or job, people get better at it with more practice.
