School people... gah... as in girls?

I often get in trouble with the people at school. No, I never have any trouble with teachers or professors, or seniors... but anyone approximately the same age as me always seems to have a problem with me. ESPECIALLY GIRLS.
Yes, even in college, you still see those kinds of people from time to time.
Like, the other day I was in a group project, and I did my share of work as promised. But there had been a misunderstanding somehow and they went and told the prof I hadn't participated. I didn't worry at first cuz I had submitted my work - surely that would count? But then I later found out I got quite a lot of points taken for acting alone and not helping.
SERIOUSLY?? What bothered me was not the points taken, but the fact they had somehow convinced that I hadn't done anything. I asked them what I had done wrong - and they were like, "compared to the rest of us, you hardly did anything!"
WUT?? That kinda shook me, but I didn't complain anymore cuz I didn't want to make the situation any worse - besides, the project is finished and there is no way to prove that I had provided enough work for them now. Heck, I even stayed up the whole night with them and kept giving them the necessary info for the project!!
I still don't know the reason why I had been marked off like that. Maybe I had made a mistake somewhere in the process, but if I did, shouldn't they have told me? Shouldn't they count the fact I was with them all along and helping them??
The only solution for me was to shut up cuz if this got bigger, I was probably going to be cornered. And it didn't help that they were a pack of girls. Yes - GIRLS - the group I fear the most in the whole wide world.
I had worked with boys before in similar group projects - and I found it much more comfortable working with boys cuz they hardly complained about anything, and unlike girls - who seem to pick on trivial mistakes - they included everyone who had contributed. And not to mention, if there is something that needs to be fixed, they inform the members right away.
Now I really dread going to school. Well, the semester's almost over, but I still have to see them... AND next year... and all I can say is just a heavy sigh.
