Reasons for like?
The STORY. Just two words : FRIGGIN AWESOME. No matter how many times I watch it, I'm always crying at the end. Seriously, they made an awesome movie - I was so surprised at the depth. Sir Aaron and Lucario were certainly the stars and for once leaving Ash as a secondary character was one of the best things they (ever) did.
I rank this movie as my number one pokemon movie ever. Second is Mewtwo Strikes Back, and third is the Zoroark Movie.
I heard that the game creators had been so moved by the 8th movie, they designed Riley as homage to Sir Aaron. Cool - and he turned out to have one of the best episodes in DP anime. I kinda wish Riley had actually made references to Sir Aaron, but there's enough fan-based artwork everywhere anyways XDD
Oh, and the disappointment? Well, I might be the only one to think this way...but...
