Losing electricity at midnight -.-

Last night I was working on my computer and suddenly the lights in our house went off. At midnight. Thankfully, my laptop was halfway through charging, so I had enough time to save my work and see what was going on.

I looked outside and saw that the entire neighborhood lost electricity XDD

We weren't too worried because a black-out this big will be fixed soon enough as a lot of people would be complaining about it. No TV, no internet connection, nothing. So after playing with my DS a bit I went to bed early.

But way through the night there were some people talking outside saying "OMG THE LIGHTS AREN'T BACK YET?!" and running down the stairs. I don't know what was going on, but since there wasn't any weather problems, or a fire, I went back to sleep.

Later in the morning, I heard from a neighbor that a stray cat somehow got stuck in the electrical transformer or something and that it was going to take some time to get the job done. I don't know if that's true (how does a cat even get stuck in there, anyways?) but it wasn't until 2 in the afternoon that we got our electricity back.

I wouldn't be surprised. Cats are tricky fuckers.
