Killing the shiny Haxorus

So I finally saw all the pokemon in the Unova dex and went to catch the Haxorus.

It was black and all shiny and a FEMALE, so I wanted to catch it on my first try

Unfortunately, my Samurott did a critical hit on the Haxorus with a not-very-effective Surf, and she just DIED ;_;

I yelled out of frustration, which led to my mom asking what in the world I was doing. XDD;;

I did save before talking to the Haxorus, so it doesn't really matter, but how could a not-very-effective Surf OHKO a HAXORUS??? Just because it was a critical hit?!

Ugh, bummer. At least you saved beforehand. Otherwise, that would suck so much.

Haven't heard from Cresselia since I accidentally KO'd her on Marvelous Bridge. Forgot to save before the battle. Oops.

What level was your Samurott, and how big was it's Special Attack? Furthermore, what was its nature?

@Berrenta; She'll probably come back after you beat the league again... or a reasonable amount of time goes by... XDD
@johnr754; The Haxorus was at level 60. My Samurott was at level 79. I don't know what nature it has but I never EV trained it. It'll probably have less-than-average Sp.Atk I guess. But maybe the level difference was too big?

If you KO'd her by mistake you can encounter her again. Just defeat the Elite Four again the same thing happened to me with Latias in White 2.

@Dark Blueberry; The level diff. is too high. It's truly possible for a Lv79 Samurott to kill a Lv60 Haxorus.

UNLESS...The Haxorus had a nature AGAINST Sp. Def!
