I listened to Roxie's gym song

It was really cute XDD

The Japanese version was her singing a song on her band

"D - o - g - a - r - s - DOGARS!!"

The English version was simply changed to Pokemon

"P - o - k - e - m - o n - POKEMON!!"

XDD

It's really creative of them to have her singing a song instead of using the standard gym music XDD I like both versions, but the English one sounds more cute XDD

I thought this was a really nice touch too. I'd heard Roxie's gym music when the game first came out in Japan, but then I forgot about it, so it was a nice surprise.

I also like how the gym is a tiny, dingy-looking building from the outside... then a corridor and stairs with music gradually more audible the closer you get. It reminded me of a few places I've seen bands in the past.

I prefer the Japanese version of the song, sounds more creative, the English one just sounds generic in my opinion.

The English one has...and odd accent.

It took me awhile to realize they were saying Pokemon. Thought they said "E...O...K...I...M...ON" at first. :/

I don't have B2/W2 yet, but comparing both themes, I can honestly say that I prefer the Japanese version. Greatly. The English one sounds a bit...off. Weird...? Oh, I don't know. Something.

Both remind me of Lavender Town, for some reason. Must be the Dogars chanting its name in the background.

One of the good things about this game is that all the Gyms have remixed themes (save for Cheren). Elesa's Gym is another fave of mine.

They're both cheesey, but what gives.

Burgh and Elesa's themes are FANTASTIC! I haven't heard the rest of the gym themes yet though.
