Froakie might be based on a nobleman?

I've had this impression for a while, but with the French background the new games has got, I'm expecting something European in the games, not to mention the pokemon might actually have themes based on them.

Froakie might be based on a nobleman. See those bubbles around his neck? They remind me of this kind of clothing

Like the frilly thingy around this nobleman's neck?

Likewise, since Chespin has his "hat", I'm guessing Chespin to evolve into something based on a knight?

And Fennekin could turn out to be based on a Cardinal. Not to mention the color scheme it could get is reddish due to being a fire-type.

Just guessing.

Or a burglar with a handkerchief around one's head tied under the nose.

It's the only thing I can think of to explain the bubbles on its nose. It's why I think he'd be a dark type and not Chespin. Though I'd rather it be a flying type just so we can have a nice Zelda reference.

The bubbles are also formed a lot like the bag of loot on the burglar sprites.

Yeah! I thought the same thing!

And that burglar-idea is just a little ridiculous (in my opinion), it doesn't fit frogs at all.

This looks nothing like a samurai. Just an otter playing with a shell. It's evolution, yes. This one? No. You can say the exact same thing about Froakie's bubbles and a burglar's sack.

I can see that, but the bubbles on its back still looks more like the burglar's bag than that frilly neck thing.
