Why SF64 3D > OoT 3D

Aside from the updated graphics and new features, there is one factor important factor Star Fox 64 3D has over OoT 3D to make it a better remake: the re-orchestrated music. You see, when it comes to video game remakes, it can't be just graphics and new features, you also have to re-orchestrate the game's original soundtrack from scratch in order for it to feel like a true remake. OoT 3D failed to do so because its soundtrack was still in 64-bit, making it feel more like a 3DS port of the original game. Unfortunately, everyone, including Game Trailers, still prefers OoT 3D over Star Fox 64 3D despite how much of a vast improvement the latter had over the former. I sense some "greatest game of all time" bias surrounding them.

Implying there is something wrong with OoT's soundtrack that needed to be "fixed"?

No, it's just the rule of video game remakes in order to not make it feel like a straight-out port.

    Meh. I wouldn't call it a rule.

But seriously though, the old-school music gives the game its nostalgia factor.
Why starve the fans of precious, precious nostalgia? D:

@mini-chan Again, rule of video game remakes, and it'll be sweet to hear an official orchested version of OoT's soundtrack.

@Ghetsis-Dennis-Since when does gaming have an official rulebook?

@mini-chan Since the early days of video games depending on the technology they have at the time.
