The Occasional Murmurations of an Idiosyncratic Punk

Hello world!

I find it appropriate that my first blog post ever begins on the first day of what I hope to be the unparalleled year of 2012.

Rather than start with some average thing, I think I'll start with some new years resolutions (I'm documenting them so I can look back to them for future reference).

1: I will be more appreciative of what I have and of who I love. This is my main one, as I continuously go throughout days without telling even my mom I love her, even less my other family members.

2: If I am thinking about someone, I will tell them that I am thinking about them. I hope that this will help me accomplish my #1 resolution.

3: I will stand up for every person I see who deserves it. My school, despite being fairly good about bullying issues, still has a couple of victims and a couple of bullies. Most people just try to ignore it, but next time I see it happening, I will stand up for them. And not just for them, but everyone who needs someone to stand up for them.

4: I will be more sociable in general, be it on BMGF and in real life. This means stepping out of my comfort zone, which I can assure you I am definitely NOT comfortable with. This also means viewing more than two sections on BMGF, and not simply hanging out with the same group of six kids. Of course, this doesn't mean I'll give up time for these things I'm already comfortable with, I'll just add more things, meaning less boring time by myself (yes!).

5: I will hold no grudges, accept all apologies, and try my hardest never to anger anyone. This will definitely be the hardest for me, as my personality seems to clutch onto the first one. From personal experience, I am certain that grudges ruin both friendships and relationships.

5.1: A bonus on part 5 is to apologize to all the people who are angry with me, regardless of their reasons. As stated above, grudges ruin these things, and if the grudge is cleared on my part, my friendships will hopefully blossom again.




Okay, now that I'm finished with that, I'll start my first resolution now! I've seen this often on Facebook, so I may as well start my comments with "To be honest..."

@Octy ; To be honest, you are a really fun and interesting person. I enjoy talking with you about anything and everything, varying from music (go Natalia Kills!) to movies (go Easy A!) to RP's (go Trebloome, Worlds Collide, and Starlight!)

@Xmas Haze ; To be honest, you're probably the person I talk to the most on this whole site. We've RP'ed a lot together and you're extremely creative. Your fics are the same, stuffed to the brim with creative and interesting things, which keep me on my toes until I finish. Again, I'm genuinely thankful that you and I are friends. (Actually, I just checked and we technically aren't friends... I'll fix that right now xD)

@Kona-Chan ; To be honest, your RP'ing is very funny. I can truthfully say that I've laughed extremely loud at some of your posts on RPs. If you don't believe me, you can ask my sister, who will definitely vouch for me.

@Misheard Whisper ; To be honest, your writing and reviews are fantastic. I'm reading bits and pieces of SGTG when I get the chance to, and so far I, really like it. I appreciate that you helped me get started here on BMGF, and I hope you keep writing.

@Plushie ; To be honest, even though we didn't really talk that much when I was still a Rookie, your advice was more than invaluable. You taught me the ropes to BMGF and helped me become the user I am today. Actually, if it weren't for you, I probably wouldn't be posting this blog in the first place!

@The Anonymous ; To be honest, I like your RPing style and your hilarity. I can also tell you that I've laughed at your posts more than once. You've also gotten me started on PRP's, so now I've gotten more comfortable with the concept.

To be honest, you and I are acquainted and hopefully, we can become better friends by the end of 2012! Please don't take any offense to just being acquainted, I certainly don't mean any.
