I still remember the Great Deluge of 2009. Over 4000 users "active."

Wish more people would stick around :(

It's probably due to the lack of spambots and random guests. The fact that we only just got over a holiday Black Friday would also mean people would have less time to be online.

What constitutes an "active" member anyway?

Lol what are you talking about? The numbers have been much lower before, ain't anything new.

It's the slow news period. Once another game gets announced, that number will go back up.

The forums aren't dying. They're very active, I could only begin to say the forum is dying if no new members joined in a week.

I see where you're getting at, Fab, but that's because what you've seen in your time on the forums is different from what I've seen on my time on the forums. And also, I'd say less than 2% of those who joined last week will stay for an entire week, and 20% of that 2% will stay for an entire month and become actual active members. Most of the people that join are either trolls or spambots, anyway.

Oh, and @Knock Out; and whoever liked his post: I'm not talking about the "currently active users" list that shows everyone's names, I'm talking about that thing near the bottom that says "Active Members: 1,965" or whatever the number was.
